***The Vapers Lounge*** 3.0

From what I remember change in colour is due to the nic being exposed to oxygen, so it can't be avoided in most situations, I wouldn't worry about it, changing colour is all its doing :)

I have a bottle of fish flakes (goldfish sauce) that started out life quite clear and now looks like a bottle of irn bru :D As I rarely vape it, its just sat changing colour, when ever I have the occasional blast of it, tastes the same as the day I bought it.


Tried something new this morning, built a 'turbo coil' build, 22g on one side, 24g on the other, 7 wraps each, easily one of the nicer vapes I've had recently :)
 
Cheers for the info Paul. So how much do coils and tanks change the vape?? I just use an ultimo tank with ceramic coils.
Also looking to get a new mod as this centurion is just way to buggy and is annoying me! 50% and below battery life is rubbish and it turns itself off.
 
when i bought some juice yesterday the guy told me that anything over .6mg nic would be too much for my device and it would just leak or burn out the coil. This true? it was a 70/30 ratio that i was going for but he only had 18mg nic and i think that would have quite clearly made me dizzy for the next week or two.

Single cell: VTC Mini/VTwo Mini (same thing essentially!)
Dual: Cuboid
Tri: RX200/200s/RX2/3
Quad: Ijoy Maxo

I have had mods do that in the past, rather then tell me the battery is dead it just puts out at a lower wattage without telling me :p

Complete balls. Nic content in juice has next to no effect on coil wear.

If the PG content is too high, the liquid is thin (low viscosity) it may leak easier, too high of a VG content it my burn dry as the liquid is thick (high viscosity). Though this isn't much of an issue these days, as the vast majority of tanks and coils can handle high VG/Max VG easily.

Outside of the main ingredients (nic/pg/vg) some flavorings can reduce coil life, mainly sucralose or what ever its called in sweet juices can make coils black and quick :)

Avoid backstreet custard flavours
If your really worried mix your own from tested products ie The Flavor Apprentice,The Flavor Apprentice

Just sent an e-mail to vampire vape,
Pinkman, Rhubarb and Custard, flavours.
Does the manufacturer data sheets for the 'raw' ingredients state they're free from
DIACETYL, ACETOIN and ACETYL PROPIONYL?

Yeah i have read many posts with folks using different juices no problem. I guess sometimes its best to go trial and error i was going to pick up the high nic content version but he insisted it would be no good meh.
 
18mg is fine for a mouth to lung setup, sub ohm, ideally you don't want any higher then 6mg, though I've vaped 9mg at sub ohm a few times with no ill effects.

He is right in that you don't want high nic if you're subbing, only for MTL. I started out on 18mg, MTL on a crappy ego tank :D

But as far as leaking, hammering your coils etc... go's, nic has next to no effect. Remember, for example with 6mg, the nic only makes up 0.6% of the entire make up of the liquid.
 
So is it true to say that sub ohm vaping will cost you more in liquid? I got through 60ml in about 9 days which cost me £15 is that a fair price?

Granted its a cheaper than £40 i was spending a week smoking, I'm getting to the point where i think i could probably go the day without using the vape now so not a bad turn around....
 
Yes, the bigger the clouds, the more vapour, and the more liquid you use.

£15 for 60ml isnt too bad, american juices in particular can be double that (even if they tast so good not worth it in the long run).

Check out the likes of jackamoo and novavapes, theyre pretty reasonable in both price and quality.

In other news, think i might just bite the bullet and grab a full size tfv4, although coming down with a cold so time to go through my less favoured juices while i cant taste them :D
 
As above, mix your own, if you don't fancy that then check out jackamoo, nova, rejuiced etc...60ml for £15 isn't bad....I spent £18 yesterday on 30ml of ez duz it :o Was bored, went to a B&M and spent £76 on 'premium' yank liquids :(

You don't have to chuck massive clouds and hammer heaps of juice in most sub ohm situations, I can throw something like a dual 24g 7 wrap 2.5mm in the goblin mini and have 6ml do me the whole day or I can put dual Ni80 ribbon claptons in my tornado nano and rip through 15-20ml in a day...

True that, 7ml lasts a lot longer in a subtank plus than a tfv4 for example.

Tis a complex business is vaping when you really get into it, so much more than just some wire, some cotton and a battery
 
Haha also worth noting if you have a nest protect and you use your vape in the house it will constantly trigger it

Ours is on the upstairs landing and i vape in the office and its forever going off on one to the point where the alarm activated on it!
 
A heads up, vapourdepot are doing 250ml of house juice for £21, they have quite a few flavours including Heisenberg and pinkman clones :)

Yep, smoke alarms and vaping are not fun, although i suppose its reassuring to know they work :D

Carbon monoxide detectors are ok though, different operating mechanism
 
Just purchased a bunch of 12mg juice from jackamoo just to try a higher level of nic to see if i'll vape less however I've gone with some pretty randy flavours so i may just end up fogging the house up further :D

Hopefully going from 6mg to 12mg isn't going to knock me about and make me more of a addict lol
 
Just ordered my re-up from Jackamoo. Started getting a bit bored of Blue Slush as my ADV so threw a few more flavours into the mix - green slush, blue slush, grapeberry, dragon tears, and some looper clone.
 
being new to this vape lark my main rig is a H-Priv 220w with a tfv8 its working great but being a truck driver I need a backup that's able to charge via usb. Being a ex 40 a day smoker it needs to be able to hit the spot. Any ideas are most welcome.
 
I've ordered pink jizz x2, blue berg, dragon tears, vanilla delight as I really want to try a custard flavour not that I'm a huge custard fan but still.

Also does any still choke when vaping as there must be something I'm not quite doing right as it takes awhile once i fire up the device for the chocking to stop I'm thinking it was the coil but I've only just changed it. I've set the wattage lower than the 40w i use mostly and turned down the air intake

Any ideas?

What tank are you using? Also, what mg is the liquid?

On my first subohm tank (the Aspire Cleito), anything above 3mg would make me choke. 6mg was just about do-able if I took smaller tokes but still gave me a sore throat.

What amp output is the USB in your cab? May be easier having two sets of batteries and an xtar chargee that uses USB...
