Made the unfortunate mistake of walking into the sea whilst having my 510 XL battery in my pocket. The battery is constantly activated when I stick a cartomizer on it, I'm assuming there's something shorting out the button to have it stuck "on".

Any way of dismantling it to have a look inside? I'm going to get a new one, but they're out of stock at the moment!

Quick question from someone who does vape/smoke:

How bad for your health is it compared to smoking?

What is your company / workplace's policy for vaping in the office?

It is less bad, though as it is relatively new, there have not been any long term tests.

A few people vape at my work but they still have to go outside, though I know they all have a sneaky vape in the toilets.

I vape at my desk, my office is cool with it. I asked first and explained it of course.

Does anybody know where I can buy Red Kiwi liquids online in the UK? I picked up a few of their different flavours to try at a brick and mortar shop and they're by far the best tasting liquids I've tried. Can't seem to find them to buy online in the UK though  The shop has plenty in stock but only sells very small bottles and they're pretty expensive!

I can only see German sites selling it, may be why it's so expensive as it's being shipped in.

It is a standard battery that everywhere sells so one of the vaping shops will have some.

They can be dismantled but it is fairly risky, if you muck it up you could put the battery into thermal runaway and blow it up. If you feel up for it anyway understanding it is risky, I'd search for SteelJan on youtube. She has done some videos of opening and fixing them. I think the last one I saw of her doing it was on a twist but it should be about the same for your one.

Any recommendations for a new flavour concentrate? I think I'll have to pick up a 50ml of cigarillos when they're back in stock, but thinking I might try something different to add to me stable of DIY juices.

Maybe a good mint/menthol flavour? The ones I've tried up til now have been too cool and light (mint), or flat and bland (menthol), so something a bit more full bodied that isn't just a cold inhale would be nice.

I feel like a good coffee too. I've like the DV cafe braziliano in the past, and others have been cloying and horrible (I'm looking at you liberty flights!) so I'm always a bit wary of branching out.

Nothing sweet anyway, I find I can't vape really sweet juices on the long term or I feel ill. Something a bit savoury for an all-day vape. Maybe even a good tobacco (although it's hard to go back after el cigarillos!)

I'm tempted to get a new 1100 mAh battery as my current one is knackered from it's trip into the sea.

Does anyone have experience with the ego-c passthrough? I like the idea of being able to vape whilst charging :)

I've been using an ego-c passthrough as my main battery for a while now. Never had any problems with it. Usually lasts for a full day of vaping.

I think though that it might come off charge when using it. When its been completely dead it needs to be on charge for about 10 minutes or so before you can use it so its not a true passthrough in that sense.

If you get the ego-c "upgrade" it has a second mode that outputs at about 4.5v, it drains the battery quicker but its good for higher resistance atomisers. I like as well that the button light has three different colours - 100% - 50% of charge its white, 50% - 20% its light blue and below 20% its dark blue.

I think you might have a CE4 clearomiser (google it to check), in which case you can do what you like with it. I got some with my lavatube and I'm having some terrible wicking issues with them (dry plastic-y taste after a few drags), so maybe for your next batch try something different. Cartomisers seem to be the best cheap/reliable/low maintenance atty in my experience. Although they don't show you how much juice is in them. I occasionally overfill mine and have them leak out the bottom lol. Easily sorted with some kitchen towel though!

As to whoever asked about washing atties: you can, in most cases, rinse them out with warm water and leave them to dry for a few days. I usually just vape them nearly dry with a grimace and then fill up with my new juice, but it's not a very good method and I don't recommend it! I'm just lazy.

Thanks for the reply mate. I've noticed my RE4 is changing colour in the CE4 that you correctly identified. The fresh from the bottle fluid I added is much lighter - is this normal?

Thanks again

Cheers mate, I did check out the twist version but I don't use high resistance cartomisers so the standard one will do me just fine :)

I've started noticing this as well. I'm assuming it's just liquid that hasn't vapourised completely getting back into the rest of the liquid. It makes it taste slightly burnt but hasn't caused any problems.

The upgrade isn't the VV twist. The second mode turns off the voltage regulator. There's a few flavours that seem to taste better to me using a lower resistance atomizer, if I haven't got one upping the voltage is the next best thing.

One of my Novas leaked tonight. Luckily it was on my bedside table rather than in my pocket. The juice went everywhere. :( it was the one I'd stripped and cleaned out. Hopefully I just didn't put it back together properly rather than knackering one of the seals. I'll have a play with it in the next couple of days and hopefully sort it out.

The Boge 510 cartomisers - Are you meant to replace the white cap and vape with it in situ? I think I've messed up as have been taking it out, filling it up and then using the clear what I can only assume is a drip tip?

My CE4 is tasting pretty foul now if I'm honest!

You can use either the white bit or the drip tip. A was using the white bit for ages and only started using a tip when Vape Escape sent a free one with an order. Much of a muchness I find.

Try some Dekang Triple Menthol it always tastes great.

I always use a drip tip on cartos, I just like the feel better. As PapaLazaru says you can use either. I've only ever bought the one drip tip all the others (have at least 5) came with something else. I've got a metal one that looks great on some stuff but I don't like the mouth feel.

Im still smoking since I got my Tornado Ego-C on Friday :( Purely down to the juices being disgusting, ive ordered more and am hoping they are better. All the juices so far have flavours nothing like what they are supposed to represent, and all have a distinctive "ecig aftertaste" which I really hope is not apparent in all juices as I cant stand it.

Finding a good flavour that suits you is tough, and I agree on the descriptions being quite ambiguous/inaccurate. I've vaped my share of terrible flavours that made me feel ill they were so sweet. Can I suggest el Toro el cigarillos as a good tobacco flavour. very leafy but satisfying juice.

Can you describe the aftertaste you're experiencing? It might be an issue with the atty you're using that we can help you resolve.
