Im using an AGA-T2 genisis style with a lavatube off and on but normaly go back to the boges they seem to be flawless allthough i do find the steel version better than black? same cartos i know but they just seem to last better, a mate has started boiling his old boges then letting them dry i think there are a few YT vids to show how its done atm he is getting maybe 5 out of 10 working again so saves a bit of cash but he tends to use flavored juice not tobacco

I'm so sold on my Aga is is crazy but if it isn't working for you nothing stopping you using your Boges (they were my favourite carto but held to little juice)

I've tried boiling and baking (low oven to dry them faster) and while it kind of works I never found them to be as good after. With Boges (not so much other cartos) they are so cheap at about a quid each I'd rather just buy more and chuck them. Even a new one everyday is cheaper than a pack of 10 cigs and they always lasted more than a day for me.

5 weeks on and my TW Odessey is great.

The carts they are using are a bit rubbish and are due to be replaced with Bodes ones. In the meantime they are selling off thier remaining Cartomizer stock at 1/2 price. £2.50 for 2 carts :)

Just stocked up on some whilst we wait for the new carts to become available :) If you are good with the older carts, they last about a week.

Thank you.

I'm about to go for that VH Star Kit, what else do I need with it? Just the liquid?

An extra USB charger would be handy. It's good to have one at home and one at work for example. Also, I find I break one every few months even if I'm really careful with them :o

I had an issue with my t2 it just kept burning the wire on the first vape took ages to get it right still hit and miss now tbh I think it's just me rushing the coil.

I've been vaping for six months now and think its time I started mixing my own juices. A couple of questions:

  • What is the difference between VG and PG base mixes? I keep seeing it on different sites, but nobody actually seems to explain what the difference is.
  • Any personal recommendations on best places to buy mixing stock? Had problems with a couple of suppliers recently so looking to broaden who I buy from.

Thanks

VG gives a thicker vapour. PG is means to give more throat hit. Most juice is a mix of both but not all. 70% PG 30% VG is a fairly common mix.

cig-eliquid is pretty cheap for UK based nicotine. You can only really get cheaper by buying large amounts from the US or China.

If you could tell us which liquids you use and like we might be able to suggest where you could get flavourings that are similar.

On the subject of mixing your own. Ive spent just under £50 on my latest batch of liquid. Four bottles of 30ml 8mg PG. Without adding mixing bottles and other tools, If i gave you DIY'ers £50 how much liquid at 8mg could you make? Roughly.

Got The MAGA on Saturday and got it set up and running. Wow, these Genesis style atomisers work a treat.

I can understand how people can find them fiddly to set up, but with a bit of practice, it will all come naturally. A bargain for £21.50 or however much it was.

So much. So so much. You could make about half a litre of liquid for that, depending on what flavours you went for and which nic base you got. You could get half a litre of PG/VG for 11 quid, then the nicotine and flavouring would eat up the rest.

I always buy my liquid from liberty flight, i love the strawberry XO flavor. Ive looked into buying diy liquids form them but get confused about what i need. Cant actually work out what the nicotine liquid is (and if they even stock it). As far as i can work out from the LF calculator i need VG base, flavoring and the nic liquid. Why are there different nic bases? Do the stronger ones need less drops?

I have a handy little table that tells you what amount of nic base (I use 54mg), VG/PG base, and flavour you need to make 10ml, and then I just multiply them by however much I need to get the total amount.

I recommend starting with 50/50 PG/VG (get a bottle of each) to play with until you find your preference (I prefer VG heavy, but some atties don't wick as well because it's thicker). Then a bottle of 54mg nic base. Either PG or VG is fine, but if you're going VG heavy, maybe get a PG base to balance it out a bit. Then choose a few flavours. Buy some little mixing bottles and a pipette (a syringe is handy for adding your flavouring more precisely too). Then away you go.

cig-eliquid has some cheap VG/PG, but the nic base at http://www.leisureliquids.com/mixing.html is much cheaper. I just bought 100ml of their 52mg stuff so I'll let you know if it has any weird flavour castes to it.

I remember being a bit daunted by it all at first as well, but it's really a lot easier than it sounds.

I'm on my 3rd day now and I haven't touched a cig since getting my atomiser on Sunday. I tried quitting during the Stoptober campaign, but unfortunately there was a family bereavement so I started again.

I can't get too excited. But so far I've resisted any craving by puffing on the atomiser, hopefully once all the cravings stop then I can stop using the device.

So far this thing is better than e-cigs, patches, gum. spray and stress balls. It really does work and I recommend anyone to try it.

I just wish there was more of a smoke coming from the device, but atm I'm coughing all the time, is that normal?

If the vapour is causing you to cough, you may want to try a lower nicotine strength until you get used to it. If you're just coughing a lot in general, I experienced a similar thing and it went away after a week or two, and believe it was just my lungs clearing out years of tar and ****. Consult your gp if it persists though!

Otherwise, good stuff man! I still smoked my bedtime cigarette (the hardest one for me) for about a month after I started vaping, but it just started tasting worse and worse every night so when I finally finished that pouch of baccy it wasn't too hard to let it go. Weird for the first night or two, but I got over it. If you're already on no cigs then you're doing well :)

Let us know if you have any questions about your device or liquids and we'll endeavour to help you out :D

I've been vaping Totally Wicked tobacco 8mg strength.

So do I just need to order some PG, VG and some flavouring? Anything else I need?

Very normal as you're no longer inhaling tar, toxins and all the other crap that you get with cigarettes.

Your lungs are trying to clear it up hence the coughing.... expect this to go on for a month. You'll notice other changes too like gums bleeding, constipation and the inability to get an erection but trust me it's all for the good. (actually i kid you - your sex life should actually improve)

Once you've become a pro you'll find more vapour than a real cig ;)

Good luck

Haha, I often miss this thread because it gets buried so quickly, so I just respond when I see it pop up.

I'd be interested in a guide to rewicking a nova if anyone knows a nice simple one. I might see how I get on. I don't even know where to get wicks and wire!

which is the one to buy which has good smoke, not an airy draw and doesn't leave with that burnt taste?

Thanks I think lol

Joined Pure Gym today too, not gamed today at all and I'm shattered. I guess my previous question can be aimed towards you too, I'm looking for a better one which I need by Friday. Can these things be taken onto trips abroad in hand luggage?

Costs more from my maths? cig-eliquid £36.98 for 250ml. Lesureliquids is £8.99 per 50ml which is £44.95 for the same amount. Can you buy bigger bottles at more of a discount for bulk that I can't find?

Cool. My device is a crappy one which I got from the Lowry centre for £20. It does the job but it lacks in vapour, gives an airy draw and tastes burnt. I'm just after a better one but there are so many to choose from and I don't even know which reputable place to buy one online is.

My setup is simple which I buy regularly from vapour-room due to their good service and quick delivery (order tomorrow and it'll be with you 1st class recorded on Friday)....

My diet ....

Battery : Leo Pro

option 1
Vanilla VG with Boge LR cartos : Lots of vaper but taste deteriorates quickly as the Boge carto is used past a few days.

option 2
Light Feelife VG/PG liquids with Tidy 10v2 clearos : Very nice taste, less vaper but more than adequate

Disc code : ECR69 .... pity most of the stuff is out of stock though
