My Innokin iClear 30 arrived yesterday so its been connected to my iTaste vv which is working great.

Sure is a beast of a clearomizer!

Also my El Toro Virginia Prime came yesterday. My first thoughts was it tasted a bit funny, but I thought I would give it benefit of the doubt and after reading about what people say about it (on uk vapers forum) getting better over time and 'steeping the juice' even though its pre-steeped it does seem to improve over time.

Today the juice does taste much better so it does make a difference if you leave it out to air a bit, which I did with the lid slightly off. After a few days it's meant to taste even better. Has anybody else noticed this with El Toro juices?

Can't comment on Virginia prime, but from recollection the el cigarillos was pretty consistent out of the bottle.
:)

Buying base in VG or PG depends on what you want for the final % of each to be. As you use low strength juice it likely doesn't matter as much. But for me the base is 50%ish of the final product so I couldn't make it 30% VG like I mix if it was VG based.

I think this bit sounds important but im not quite sure what it means.

Using your calculator i get this.

Nicotine Base 54 (PG mix)mg/ml
Target Nicotine Level 8 mg/ml
Amount to Create 30 ml
Water Added (optional) 20 (VG not water) %
Flavor Percent 12 %

ingredient ml % of total
PG with nicotine 4.4 14.7%
PG 16.0 53.3%
VG mixer 6.0 20.0%
Flavoring(s) 3.6 12.0%

Does that look about right? I.e. not going to totally flop. Doubt ill make 30ml to start with but thats my aim.

What's the best thing to use to measure qtys? I'm looking at syringes (5ml) and pipettes (3ml).
Cant see it being easy to measure 4.4ml with either, but I've never done it before so I could be wrong.

I have lots of ppe to do the job!

EDIT : syringes with needles.

I use a variety of syringes, including a 1ml one for more accurate amounts. That site has a whole range. Get the diy kit, it has several different size ones in it, including the 1ml.

Once I get home from work the CE8 I ordered should have arrived looking forward to trying this out will let you guys know how I go on for those who may be interested.

Could someone suggest me a VV battery something like the eGo Twist VV maybe, nothing too expensive for my first VV device.

And also a seller which stocks this and has in stock UK based.

I don't ask for much huh!

Come on! Get back here and spill the beans on the CE8, damn you!!! :D:D:D

While we're waiting for Gilbert, want to read my thoughts on the CE8s I've been using since they arrived this morning?

I like 'em :)

Build quality: seems solid enough. Everything screws together as it should without wobble or skew.
Vapour production: good; at least on a par with the Boge DC LR cartos I've been directly comparing them with.
Draw: Airy and easy, but not effortless. Little noise, too - this ain't no whistle.
Throat hit: Less than the Smok Tech mega cartos I normally use [with 18mg 70/30 juice], but not by a huge amount. These are the 2.4 Ohm versions, by the way.
Flavour: I've seen one video review where these get the thumbs-down because there's absolutely no flavour. I've certainly not found this to be the case; it's directly comparable to a Boge carto so far. It seems like a cleaner vape, too - though that could be something psychological due to the easier draw.
Ease of Use: Piece of proverbial: unscrew the tip, dribble 2ml of juice down the side, replace tip, prime with a brief drag while blocking the bottom end to pull some liquid in to the wick, wait 5-10 mins to let all the air bubble out, and off you go. No dry hits or burnt taste so far, and it's not angle-dependent either.

Overall, my experience so far has been positive enough to consider using these instead of my trusty mega/XXL DC cartos. The only real question mark is whether the clear plastic will be robust enough for pockets and bags.

Oh, one oddity, however: they didn't work with any of the Ego/Riva batteries I already had [good job I'd ordered some Ego VV batteries at the same time, which worked without issue]. Seems as though the posts on these are a bit on the short/inset side, so may need to be coaxed out a tad to work on some batteries.

What am I doing wrong with a syringe? It just doesn't seem to want to draw in any liquid. I'm using brute force too.

Need a bigger gauge needle. The lower the number of the gauge the bigger the hole in the middle. My top tip for syringe use with juice is to stick some sellotape over the markings. The juice will melt the numbers right off and varnish always does to if I try it. Tape works great.

Excellent -- thanks very much for the feedback!

Will probably pick a couple of these up, myself. Had very little success with wicked tanks in the past so hoping these do the trick. :)

Fantastic review, I ordered the 1.8 OHms as Im only on 8MG liquid and I like a throat hit, still need a VV battery though but luckily im only vaping Menthol at the moment from Liberty Flights which gaves a great throat hit apposed to other 8MG liquids I have tried.

Vaping is getting huge, my mates Mum and Dad both have one, see people at the bus stops/tram stops, people uploading photo's of there new E Cig kits!

2 Weeks and going strong for me, brb toilet break/vape break at work.

Which metro? I would be interested to see if it's one of ours.

Very cool to see some positive media on a well read paper. Was that the Leeds Metro? I didn't see it on the Manchester edition.

Hi guys i have discovered some new flavours via a friend of Grant who makes the vanilla custard he is known as scope on vape pit forums and other vaping boards etc. I have been vaping 2 of them all day and they are the best juices i have tasted, on a par with vanilla custard but very different.

They are raspberry, apple tart, and caramel ( i haven't tried the caramel yet) someone has already written a review and i feel the exact same way as the reviewer so this is copied from vape pit forums.

The creator doesn't have a site yet as its still a new product but he has stock and he posts same day 1st class ( he even sent the products before i paid him and invoiced me after even though ive never met the bloke) what a great guy.

They arrived this morning and i only got talking to him yesterday afternoon by email, superb service, so first of all the raspberry review

First up is raspberry. Its a 50/50 mix at 18mg as that's my regular.

Its a pale, golden liquid with a subtle smell and was tried in the DCA first, silica dripper second and finally the hellfire micro mega.

Its immediately clear that this is a beautiful vape with deeply textured flavours from the initial creamy opening to a delicate raspberry flavour that is nice but not over powering, I found personally that in the silica dripper the creamy flavour was clearer whereas in the 306 and hellfire the raspberry notes came to the fore.

For me this juice was a perfect sweet juice as the fruit flavour wasn't totally overpowering but came through the initial creamy taste and flourished into its full flavour at the finish.

Vapour wise this stuff kicks out an insane amount of fog. I'm used to vaping 90% plus VG juice so big clouds are the norm for me but this juice is nuts for a 50/50 mix. I was genuinely shocked when I took my first draws at the sheer volume of vapour coming out of me.

I cannot praise this juice highly enough and its really spoilt a lot of other sweet juices for me.

next up ill post the apple tart one :D

Review of Scopes apple tart.

Again this is a 50/50 mix at my usual 18mg.

This juice is a slightly darker colour than the raspberry with more of an orange tinge. It has a similar creamy smell with a strong apple undercurrent flowing through it.

As before the juice was tested in a 306 in DCA, a silica dripper and a hellfire micro mega.

From my first draw its immediately clear that this juice is made by the same gent as the raspberry (and that's no bad thing ;) ) it has the same creamy opening as the raspberry but with a more vanilla flavour which leads on perfectly to a subtle yet delicious caramelly, apple flavour; unlike most apple juices it has the perfect balance of sweetness and tartness with a rich, moreish flavour.

As with the raspberry this juice produces loads of vapour for a 50/50 mix. Exactly what you'd want. :)

This juice is beautiful, as I said with the raspberry Scope deserves serious credit for producing something truly outstanding. :D this is truly a gourmet juice. I can't see me ever wanting any other apple flavoured juices after tasting this one.

Congrats Scope, I honestly don't think I'd ever want to run out of this stuff. You've created a monster

If anyone wants to buy any then i can provide you with the guys email and you can have a chat with him. I would certainly try the apple tart and raspberry they are beautiful and i had to have more variety as grants vanilla custard website is closed and has been a while.
