its personal preference papalazaru, i like mine around 1.8-2.0 but some like it higher around 2.4 -2.8, the lower the ohm the 'hotter' the vape

try recoiling? ^^^^;)
 
Cheers mate. I've ordered two Protanks and 6 replacement heads. A mate, who I got into vaping wanted 5 replacement heads for his vision which would have cost him £15 with delivery anyway so he now gets a Protank (with two heads) and three spare for £15 anyway. Bargain!

I'll have a look at rebuilding as well.

lol no probs, it is so much cheaper,
iirc a 1m legth of kanthal is £1
and a meter of 2mm silica is 90p and that is enough to recoil your Protank about 15-20 times ;):D
 
Recoiling yourself is the way forwards. No more mystery dud heads, just fix it yourself! Silica is easy to learn on too.
 
Where does one obtain kanthal and silica?

Also, whilst you are all helping me out, I need some more juice. I have been happily vaping Dekang Triple Menthol for ages now and I do like it, but I think I need to expand my horizons. I tried RY4 but it was too sweet, so am looking for something nice, but not sweet. Been getting my juice from http://www.electro-ciggie.co.uk/ as the price is good, but am open to suggestions.

btw I don't vape daily, just on the weekends with beer.

I've noticed that their opening hours have been on and off for a long time. The reason for that is on the site. They seem to always open at noon on Saturdays as well as the other times they list.

Are you buying something fancy from them? They have some really good stuff :)

picked up a svoe mesto kayfun 3.1 and a semovar. I most definately have spent more on vaping than I would have done had i still been smoking (6 months and counting)... addicted to shiney stainless steel tubes :/

Lovely! That's about as good as it get's from what I've heard :) What do you think of the DNA20 mods?

So long as you dont mind a slightly airy vape they are great.

DNA20 looks awesome but afraid to look to closely into it just.. really need to cut down on my spending :o
 
Thanks. I saw someone showing off his Hana DNA20 box mod with a Kayfun vaping at 20W and it looked lovely which was why i mentioned it.

Also I know how you feel about spending more money on vaping than smoking. I've spent about five times as much in 2 months and I still haven't got a pretty mod! :)

Yeah its a bit annoying - I guess at the end of the day vaping with decent kit is undoubtedly more enjoyable than smoking and considerably better on your health
 
Well that's my first couple of hours into the world of vaping!

Apollo eGo battery and a kanger protank, really impressed at the moment, I like the throat kick and the flavour ain't to bad, I went for a tobacco flavoured one at first to wean me off and then move onto some different flavours, it's like a cigarette which is good butthere is a slight taste difference and a 'fake' taste but I guess that's just getting the right flavour. All in all not bad, hopefully be cutting the fags right out!

I'm going to be giving this one to my ma to try as I've got a Vamo coming, my ma can have the Apollo and a vivi nova and I'll keep the protank :D

I'd get a ProTank for your ma too, then there's only one set of replacement heads to order... Coz you just know it's going to be you that does the maintenance... ;)
