Ego-T Type B and Boge 510 LR carts have just arrived as well as a few bottles of non-nic juice (nic ejuice on way from US).

Looking forward to having a play later and see how good it is.

Second day using the Smok dual coil carto. Loving it tbh :) Is it me or are these easier on the battery than a tank atomiser? I've been used to the battery running flat at about 5pm on a stressful work day but it hasn't with these. I change the battery over when I get home out of habit. Tomorrow I will experiment further

Aye the dual coils are very nice. In theory, you should be getting less charge from your batteries. Though I've not noticed any quicker dropoff using them either.

I've been using E-cigs for a few months shy of 2 years, and never tried a 306 atomiser till this week. It is a bit of a pain as you have to direct drip, so they're no good for on the move, but at home and for a change, it's worth it.

The flavour of the juice ina 306 really comes through like no other atomiser/carto I've tried. Fantastic. :D

I guess that's the rub for me: I want something as simple as a tank, but with the kind of vape you get from other bits of hardware. I'm hoping that the booster is going to get me that, but I'll just have to wait and see I guess.

That, Im begining to think, is the holy grail of vaping..

First cartomisers arrived yesterday - should they be so noisy? Im talking rice crispies noisy, snap, crackle and pop type thing?
I ordered
Boge Low Resistance Cartomiser
Boge Standard Resistance Cartomiser
Dual Coil XL Cartomiser Resistance : 1.5ohm - Low
ClearoCartos - 1.5ml - Resistance : Low - 2.4-2.6 ohm

Im using one of the cartomisers, but I don't know which one as they all look the same and there was no labelling. Gives a hell of a throat hit though :p

As for the cheap ClearoCartos - how do you fill them?

I took the o-ring out from the top and dripped into it, and most of it came out the other end. Im guessing that the wicks need to be wet, but should there be fluid visible as well, or is just getting the wicks wet enough???

Let me know how you get on with them, I was debating trying all of the above only last night, or whether I just pick up a couple more tank atties. I'm hoping I'll be able to resurrect dying tank atties with the booster mod when it comes out.

Im using one the following at the moment

Boge Low Resistance Cartomiser
Boge Standard Resistance Cartomiser
Dual Coil XL Cartomiser Resistance : 1.5ohm - Low

not that much flavour, but one hell of a throat hit, so Im liking it. The flavour could be me as it is a homemade mix.

Lol. Yes it is confusing when they don't label cartos.

The Boge cartos will be the identical in size, the Dual coil will be the longest carto you have. And will probably give the biggest throat hit out of them all.

Boge standard cartos at normal voltages don't give out much throat hit. The Boge LR does hit a lot harder, and they do go snap crackle and pop more than any other carto - that's a good thing, honest Guv :D

Fill them with a syringe, don't you? Pull out the rubber o-ring that is the mouth pice, and you should see one or two small airholes. Poke your syringe through one of those to fill.

Yep, that's how you fill them. Some, when you pop the o-ring/bung out of the top have wide enough holes at the sides to drip juice through at an angle.

Just do that until the juice has almost reached the position of the atomiser cup, pop the o-ring/bung back on and leave it to wick for a few minutes.

Then you're good to go.

I've found they don't work very well with high-VG juices, though. Far too thick to wick well.

If your juice is going into the carto and then leaking out of the bottom, check the seal around where the sleeve meets the screw fixture. That's the most common fault with clearocartos.

Hey guys, does anyone know what the average life of a Tornado Tank atty is,

Reason for asking is, well mine seems to have stopped working completely, battery is fully charged and theres juice in the tank, but nothing :|

anyone spec me a nice new one, looked on the TW site but can't see anything that remotely looks similar to what i think i need lol

Pick your colour mate :) As long as you have a tornado battery that'll be fine.

Mine usually last for a couple months before they're disappointingly weak, although I'd say after a month they're on the way out performance-wise. I've never had one fully die on me (gone through maybe 5/6 by now, I make em last!), but I have one that might as well have been dead for how bad it got.

I just ordered some mixing bits: 30ml 54mg plat ice (PG), 60ml VG, and 5 random concentrates (the £29.99 deal on at TW now, I'm sure I could've gotten it cheaper but I was worried I'd get the wrong stuff somehow). Looking forwards to getting all mad scientist. That and knowing for sure that I'll not run out of juice any time soon.

Following on from my recent request for guidance my 510 kit arrived today from liberty flights. I have to admit I am having one or two teething troubles and suspect from reading a few online sources that I have just made a bad choice when it comes to juices. I opted for two tobacco flavours, some menthol and double mint at various strengths. I have tried single 'flavours' and mixing a bit of a flavour with the tobacco, but the taste is just far too sickly (and nothing like menthol) for my liking and I am finding myself opting for a regular cigarette which isnt ideal. I have tried the cartidges that came with the Riva but the vapour seemed a little harsh if that makes any sense. I moved onto the Boge 2.0ohm cartomizer and the harshness was less so I'm planning on sticking with this for now.

Can anyone advise with regards to a better choice of juice? Ideally I am looking for something smooth and minty if that makes sense. I'm also happy to give something fruity a go (oo-er), but cant abide the thought of anything involving chocolate, toffee etc....
Also, does the amount of juice in the cartomizer effect the strength or purely delay the next refill?

Finding your flavour is trial and error alright, we all trade the ones we don't get on with so don't feel they're a total loss. I'm still after a good minty vape (menthol I've found is not my thing). If you don't like a strong throat hit then juices made with higher vg content might suit you, as its the pg (and nicotine) that gives it its harshness. The atomiser you use will also contribute to how strong the hit is. You'll find you get used to it quite quickly though.

Thanks for the replies.
I think I am probably just putting a little too much pressure on an straight transistion from the coffin nails to better health, having tried all manner of cessation aids which invariably make me gag.
The PG/VG business did have me scratching my head, so I think I'll get another order in tomorrow now that I have a bit more info under my belt and perhaps try and avoid replicating my regular smoking experience.

Don't worry so much about the quitting for now. Get the right gear/juice for you, and you'll probably find you just prefer vaping. I had a bedtime cigarette for the first month I vaped, until I just decided I didn't want it anymore. Get your setup right and you'll realise how pants analogues are in comparison.

I quite like red label tobacco, if you want a smoother tobacco flavour, or their coffee flavour is just tasty :)
