I have had my SDK for a few days now. I have cut down on the cigs a fair bit and using the SDK inbetween instead. I was originally thinking of getting another SDK but now I am leaning towards an ego battery/passthrough as I am vaping mostly at my pc and the battery will give more life than my SDK which will become my backup.

I need to get some more cartomisers for the SDK but I have been looking at alternatives to use with the EGO. Would a tank/cartridge be the best next step? I don't want to spend too much at this point so no fancy mods :D

I bought a 30ml bottle of 18mg Ry4 from safercigs as it seemed like a good deal for a basic liquid and was the same strength as the SDK carts. However, in use it feels stronger. I am finding it easy to get a nicotine od headache from relatively little vaping. I also find it gives less hit than the SDK carts so whether I am dragging harder on it and hence taking more nic in.

I could see that a system/liquid that gave more vapour with lower nictine level might suit me better so I will have to try some lower liquids and find one to suit me.

It may not be the nic that's giving you the headache's, it could be the PG. I have a PG intolerance so can only vape VG or VG - PEG mix, PG does some weird things to me including migraines, have a word with Daz at safercigs, Paula at http://www.vapourworld.co.uk/ or try here http://forum.vapourtrails.tv/index.php

Quick Edit: ... I'm on 24mg nic, soon to be downgrading to 18mg once my 100 ml juice has gone.

Platinum Ice 52mg is £12.74 on Liberty Flights when using ECR69 as the discount code (15% off) :). PG and VG are both in stock

Oh, thats for only 30ml, much more expensive than other e-liquid :(.

Edit: Lol, TotallyWicked sell that stuff for nearly 30 quid per 30ml?.

Weird, I'm sure I checked there. Bugger. Ended up buying some neat 54 off of cloud 9 instead.

Trying to quit smoking...anyone tried an e-cig?

So yeah, as the title suggests, anyone tried an e-cig? There seems to be 100s of different types on the market right now, and I really need to get off normal cigs.

Gum, patches etc...tried them all...useless. So I'd thought I'd try one and see if it makes life easier.

i smoked for 22 years and tried to stop loads of times and one day I threw fag out of car window followed by half empty pack and just stopped. this was 18 Mths ago.

just stop.

simple as that its all in your head m8.

Thats what i did 7 months ago, i just stopped. The reason you you can't seem to give up is because you don't want to. If you really do want to give up you will.

I tend to think that all these gums/patches/fake cigs are still putting nicotine into your system so the quickest way to "get over" the addiction to nicotine is to go cold turkey. I did have a couple of nailbiting weeks but it's all about keeping your mind occupied. I did put weight on but since xmas i have lost around 9 pounds and i have started jogging again.

Come on, you can do it.

yes mate, ignore the chaps above, only thing they have been addicted to is a silver spoon from mummy and daddy :D

it's not a case of just stopping, if it was no one would smoke, be fat, drink, take drugs, because we could all just 'stop' like that...

dude check out this mega thread on ecigs 'vaping' is the way forward when it comes to quitting

Has anyone tried the v2 e-cig? They seem to get rave reviews.

Im trying to quit tobcco smoking and all the other aids are crap.

Thanks mate didnt even notice that thread going.

IMO if you are addicted to something, you can't just stop like that. I know some people do just stop, but I don't think they were truly addicted.

e-cigs and nicotine patches and all that other **** were invented primarily to profit from people trying to quit smoking.

If you genuinely believe these products help you to quit; think again. They exist primarily for profit and only secondarily to help you.

You quit smoking by not smoking. It's purely mental.

(ex smoker here)

It's about managing your habit.

I'm much more of a habitual smoker than a nicotine addict. For me it's the getting up and breaking the day up that I like, so have focused more on that in the past. My housemate struggles with the nicotine so had success with champix.

Whatever:confused:

Smoked for 22 years but maybe seeing my father die of lung cancer when he was 47 stuck in my mind. I still carried on for 18 years after he died though.

I stopped "just like that" it's called "using your brain" by using that amazing thing called "willpower"

I could say good luck in giving up but luck is not involved. :D

Currently on an eGo-t with dual coil carts.

The Red Bull stuff (Energy Cow) from vapeescape is sublime!

Also like the HS Premium Delight.

I am going to bite the bullet and get an SD Keyring as they seem good value. I assume everything is included to get me started?

Who is the best / cheapest / loyalty discounts etc?

www.vapeescape.co.uk

use code: allabout for 10%

SD keyrings are good, but I found the flavours nasty.

You get a battery, 2 carts and a USB charger.

Cheers for that. I just want to try one out before getting something better. I have managed to knock roll ups on the head apart from when I go out and have a few drinks, which is once a week at most. The craving has gone generally, but I just love a smoke with a beer.

Hoping these are a better alternative.

*edit*

Just ordered one with the 'virginia' flavoured stuff. Bought a spare pack of menthol carts as this is what I think I will prefer more. Found a fiver in my PP account as well so all good! Discount code worked as well. :)

not smoked for 2 months now, got a ego t kit , boge carts and various sweet juices by vermilion river and pink spot from liberty flights , 15% off code am76

happy days

Always great to see others getting on with their kit. I've settled down to a routine cafe braziliano on a smok dual coil carto, although I'm thinking of mixing up a batch of lotus flower once my vg and nic base arrive. I've found they're really at their best on a full battery and peter out quickly from there onwards. Thinking maybe a new battery is in order seeing as my 3 tornado batts have been in service for nearly a year now.
