Poll: The Vega Review Thread.

What do we think about Vega?

  • What has AMD been doing for the past 1-2 years?

  • It consumes how many watts and is how loud!!!

  • It is not that bad.

  • Want to buy but put off by pricing and warranty.

  • I will be buying one for sure (I own a Freesync monitor so have little choice).

  • Better red than dead.

Moore style? :D

Not wearing a tin foil hat or anything but I have a sneaking suspicion that Nvidia will throw money at devs to put more Gameworks features in games as to put the kibosh on this Vega optimization which seems to completely outperform even a 1080 Ti.

Aren't far cry 5 and the new wolfenstein also suppose to be specially optimised to make use of vega hardware? If so, there's another 2 games within the space of what a month of vega release? Assuming the results are as good as forza, that won't be a bad show, considering game development takes 2+ years.....

Yep, Especially Wolfenstein, The devs made a big deal of it, Apparently it will be using Vega's FP16 performance as well as instruction prefetching so should give similar performance as Forza 7 vs a 1080 Ti...in theory.

seems jayz already went back on his tweet as he accepted a vega review card from asus, these reviewers seem to think we idiots and only can remember back a week.

instruction prefetching looks very interesting and with the consoles using it hopefully devs will code it as standard

@LoadsaMoney Your original comment of the "PC Market" makes more sense, or more accurately, "most of" and "the gaming" and at the moment". I currently have only one NV product, the GPU in my laptop. My other 5 *PCs* have no NV ...

Why on earth would it be an issue for developers if they can improve AMD performance while not hampering NV? That makes no sense unless there is rotten shenanigans etc. going on in the background.

Edited to add who I was responding to.
