US: The Walking Dead Season 3 (contains spoilers)

I think they will abandon the prison, maybe leave a load of booby traps for the Governor and his forces. It looks to me like the Governor has over-committed himself going to the prison, if I was Rick I'd be tempted to go and burn down Woodbury or lay in wait for them to come back and ambush them then.

Beth can't die - she's the hottest of the walking dead ladies! :p

...and before anyone starts tightening the pedo-nooses, the actress who plays her (Emily Kinney) is 27.

She is the hottest to be fair and I also did the same age check! ;)

Maybe it's just because she's the least developed character out of Rick's group that I have the feeling she'll be one of the next deaths.

She's the most obvious choice, yes, but if anything that protects her somewhat. The walking dead does not seem to like being predictable!

Daryl CANNOT die :p

Haha, can you imagine the uproar if they killed Daryl in the finale? There would be less if Rick died. He's one of the only things that's an improvement in the TV series over the comics, plus his relationship with Merle.

Her character is under 18 though? To Catch a Predator anyone? :D

Character is 17 I believe... Legal over here, and also in Georgia where the show is set :p (age of consent in that state is 16 - I looked that one up just for you...).

But come on, she does NOT look 17... Granted I would not have guessed she was 27, but no way she looks anything under 22 / 23.

Yeah I'll agree :D. If I was to guess I would have said 20/21, certainly not 27. Next Carl's Character will be 25? :p

I cant believe people think this is boring - however that's fair enough as its all opinions. But to think it could get canned is a long shot, im sure each season has broken records at some point? Theres no way it gets dropped this early with strong numbers

It's boring because some of the character development has been awful, so so bad. Michonne being the prime target; at least in the comics she had a motivation to hate the guy from the outright.

Sat through seasons 2/3 over the weekend and watched the latest one. So much water treading for the finale.

One of the best episodes of this season, comfortably.

Sad to see Merle go, but necessary I think. I was talking to my friend about it who thought he went out too easy, but then he had been drinking (I assumed a fair bit), was jumped and winded and the Gov is clearly a real nutter now.

I'm glad the arc doesn't match the comic in many ways, and I actually prefer some of the variations. I just wish the last couple of episodes were a bit more 'pacy'.

I like the fact that almost anyone can be killed off, it adds a sense of tension you don't get in the typical "reset" plot shows.

But the problem is they've ended up killing some of the more interesting characters, Shane, Merle etc and kept the boring ones, Glen, Carl, Andrea.

At some point they will run out of decent characters...

I think that Shane had to go. His arc had run to completion, and the way that he died changed Rick's character significantly.

I was sad to see Merle go though... I think he had great potential as an antagonistic force within the group, but also as someone who could contribute greatly. It would have been interesting to see Merle's vision of redemption within the group (although arguably that's what we saw this week).

Still, I don't have a crystal ball. Maybe Merle's death will work out 'for the best' as well. Certainly it will transform Daryl somewhat... I don't envy the Governor now - Daryl and his crossbow will surely be on a vendetta!

As for other characters - I don't find any of them "boring" per se. For the most part, they feel like a "real" group. In the real world not everyone is 'the tough guy', or smart, or brave, or heroic. The composition of the group strikes me as fairly balanced.

I loved shane! :D :p

Was my fav. character from season 1-2. He really was the only one that adapted to the new world and how to "survive"

But the second half of season regarding him was superb.

For me the bet episode of this season so far would have to be the one were T-dog, Lori etc. dies. That was just incredibly intense and then the ending with Carl and Rick, just wow!
