US: The Walking Dead Season 3 (contains spoilers)

This season started off well, but it has been so so slow since the mid season break. Season 2 was a disaster IMO and I can't see the show lasting much longer. Season 1 was absolutely brilliant, I just wish they could refresh the show like that. I know they are probably saving the best for the end of this season, but it is no good if most people have already switched off.

This is what I said at the beginning of the 3rd season, and everybody contradicted me :rolleyes:

I did like this last episode though. And imo, Merle got what he deserved.

enjoyed todays
sad ending though

Very strong episode indeed...enjoyed it thoroughly...you just knew that was going to be the ending though after the Governor got his hands on Merle :(

Unlike some I've actually enjoyed Season 3, stronger than 2 and looking forward to the finale now.

After that it'll be roll on October to Season 4 :D

great episode! Sad ending though :(

inb4 "boring episode, nothing happened till the end, zOMG!" :p

I just hope they don't pack it full with stupid action scenes in the finale like the last episode of season 2 :(

Wonder what the story arc will be for season 4?

Better last episode,

Hirshel looks like his number is up for the finale, he has that look and someone will have to take one for the team.

Loved how easy Merle made it look to get them in Woodbury

I think either Maggie or Glenn (get the feeling it will be Glenn, however, at the same time I just can't see them killing him of....) will die and perhaps the baby too.....

Have a funny feeling about Hershel too, I really hope he doesn't though :(

Disappointed with Merles death.
I thought he was meant to be hard.

Didn't really want him to die, with the characters frankly getting stale, he added a bit more to it.

Saddest moment of the entire series, perhaps all three to be honest.

Despite the tension between Merle and all the other characters his character had really started to develop into what you could see the potential for. That being him joining the group.

Disappointed to see him disappear from the show but I can see a few more going in the finale.

my question is how will Daryl react, will he blame Rick for asking him?

Rick didn't really ask Merle, as it was going to be, I assume, a group thing, don't forget Rick was getting wire too, it's just that Merle took charge as he knew that Rick wouldn't go through with it.

I have a few problems with it, Merle would know that the Governor wouldn't accept the trade with Michonne (Why he let her go, but why bother taking her anyway.) Merle knew the Governor the longest, and even Rick had very real assumptions that he would kill them anyway.

I guess I'm just a little annoyed at the removal of Merle, as he could have developed.

Great episode and some good acting in the final scene, it was emotional :p

My death prediction's are Hershel, Beth and/or Carol. I think they're the 3 most disposable along with the baby as mentioned above.

Other predictions: Morgan to return and save Rick somehow. Tyrese and his sister to flip and mess the Governor's plans up.

Rick didn't ask Merle to take Michonne, only asked him to help. Merle decided to do it himself as he knew that Rick wouldn't go through with it, Daryl can't blame him.

I thought that Merle was going to die due to the way they seemed to be really concentrating on his character and little things about "him".

It was epic the way he took on the governors group though :D (at first I thought he was going to lead the zombies to woodbury though!) and I also thought that he would have been able to take care of the governor easily but he did get the crap beat out of him before hand so was at a disadvantage :( Governor can certainly hold his own though!

Yeah I think Carol might get killed of too as she hasn't really been shown in the second half of this season at all, much like what happened with T-dog but then would they kill her of so soon after Daryl loosing Merle?

Think Morgan will be a key character in the finale, possibly save the day :D

A fair set of predictions...

I think that the baby will survive though. The potential for crying at any time will add an extra dynamic to their inevitable time "on the road" after this battle.

Hmm someone made a good guess as to what will happen in the next episode.

Ricks group get captured and the governor brings them back to woodbury to torture them but in the end Tyreese and his GF/wife see what he really is like and helps them to escape.

The girl with Tyrese is his sister.

I think you guys could be right about Carol and the baby. Valid arguments for them both to survive this series, although Carol getting killed could put a more sinister spin on Daryl's character - the loss of two people he's closest to, he could lose it.

I'm pretty sure we'll see Hershel take a bullet for his daughters or Glen. After that I'm looking at Beth because it would be a shocking one to see a younger member of the group die and to be honest she's disposable.

That said it could be anyone. The only two I see as guaranteed to survive are Rick and Carl, as it's essentially their story. I also find it hard to believe they'd kill off Daryl or Michonne being such fan favourites.

Another point - a few episodes ago I was convinced we'd see the end of the Governor arc by the end of this season and I was thinking about who'd do the honours of killing him. Now I'm not so sure. The promo video shows them packing up, so do some of the group leave, some fight? Do they set an ambush or booby trap at the prison?

I can't wait for finale, so many potential outcomes!

The girl with Tyrese is his sister.

Whoops :o

Just shows how much interest I have regarding them :p If what I know of them regarding the comics, I think they will end up being part of Rick's group in the end........

Points well made there. I would be shocked if Daryl and/or Michonne died.

Have mixed opinions with Beth, can't say I would be bothered about her being killed of :p

I definitely think either Glenn or Maggie (not both) are going to die as this episode seemed to be very much around them as well i.e. Glenn's talk with Hershel and Daryl and then all of a sudden getting married etc.

I think if they were leaving, they would all go together, can't see them splitting up after all that they have been through (for about 1 year) and honestly can't see some staying to defend the prison. However, I think Daryl is going to want revenge so it is very possible he could go his own way, however, the rest of the group might stick with him and his decision.....

Morgan will be in the finale so it will be interesting to see if he plays a part in Rick VS governor or maybe it will just show Rick's group turning up on his "turf".....

And of course, we can't forget about Andrea :D :p Impossible to say what will happen with her.

Also can't forget about Milton! Can't see him surviving though.....

As you said, so many possibilities :D
