The Weekend Football Thread *spoilers*

Ultimately, you can say we need this player or that player but you rely on your squad and youth players at this stage of the season, not your big names or marquee signings. The XI on the pitch should have been easily good enough to beat what was in front of them, but that they did not suggests a much greater problem than one or two signings could solve.

:D

Here's my 'excuse' if you like.

Our injury list is incredible, Fergie has done an execellent job to keep us where we are. Yes we just went out of the FA cup, but not to a poor side. Leeds actually rinsed this, they deserved every minute.

Brown really struggled today.

The "injury list" would'nt of mattered one bit if the team had been reinforced correctly in the transfer window.

Brown has had ONE season where he has been consistently fit, Evans in his short career so far has been injury prone, and makes costly mistakes.
There is one dedicated rightback (rafael) who is young, and injury prone, there is one left back (Evra)

The squad is all over the place.

Exactly, I was just talking to a Leeds fan mate of mine ad he summed it up perfectly.

It was Leeds' cup final, we could not be arsed.

Yes I'm trolling because my opinion contrasts yours

Opinions, ain't dey a bitch?!

No it's not an opinion, you don't support either team but feel the need to come into a thread to call us glory supporters.

That's trolling, bitch.

The team that was sent out was not sent out to battle, it certainly wasnt strong enough to match the physical side of leeds.

But its the same old same old, we went this way when the team went this way in the early 00's, when the team was all over the place.
It gets a little bit boring watching the same mistakes being made over and over and over again.

The Summer window? Buying two new wingers to replace park and giggs? At the time our defence needed no extra troops.

Ferdinand
Vidic
Brown
O shea
Rafeal
Fabio
Evra
Evans

Everyone but Evra was injured.

tbh I'm not the biggest fan of either side but have been to a few Leeds games with my mate *shudders*

Leeds deserved it. Someone will take a punt on Beckford now off that performance, ran Brown and Evans ragged all match.

I dunno, i think Man U would have LOVED to beat us. You underestimated us and had a bad, bad day at the same time.

Yeah that's what I'm saying.

Every MU fan I know would have loved to have beat them but that fact is you could see from the first 5 minutes the players really couldn't be arsed, sloppy play all over the pitch.

It's no excuse though, we got out fought all over the pitch again.

I've already bought the shirt. :D

:D

Utd didn't really look up for it, Rooney was ****, but still should've scored 2-3. Wouldn't be the FA Cup without a decent shock, now Utd can't blame cup games on not winning the League, gits :p

The defence DID need improving, I've just told you, O'shea not good enough, Brown injury and gaff prone and never available.

Out of that list, you've listed 3 players who are available and of the quality required and 2 youth players.

Its not just last summer, we didnt need Berbatov when he was bought, we needed wingers and and a center back.
We needed defenders midfielders and a striker this year after ******* the Tevez transfer up.

The biggest mistake was letting Queiroz go, the one thing the Glazers should be doing is grovelling to him and offering him anything he asks for to come back.
