Just installed it using boot camp on MBA 2011 model 13" 64bit n there is a double graphics issue. Downloading the 32 bit right now to check.
same problem, usually virtual box has to be updated to fully support a new os, which afaik hasnt happened yet.
I went into the desktop properties and increased the resolution so the window is now a good size to use it.

Unfortunately that doesn;t support all resolutions, e.g. my laptop is 1280x800, closest I can get is is 1024x768.
yet another reason why vmware > virtualpox.
btw, i haven't installed vmware tools yet (the equivalent to guest additions).

from my intial impressions i dont think il be leaving win 7 any time soon, i thought this was a stupid move from MS and after experiencing it , its even more stupid then i thought.

I run Windows 8 under VirtualBox in fullscreen mode and it runs at 1366 x 768 resolution on my laptop monitor or 1920 x 1200 resolution on my main monitor fine.
It is important to note that the virtual machine has to be spun up on the monitor you will be using in order for it to correctly detect the right resolution. i.e. I can't run the VM on my 1366 x 768 monitor resolution and then drag the VM over to the 1920 x 1200 screen and expect the screen to resize... it requires a restart of the VM unfortunately.

You can (currently) get the classic start menu back and "disable much of the Metro functionality".

Metro apps run in a special application container, which I don't think will allow plugins like Flash or Silverlight. Also, it is possible that Microsoft will only allow Metro apps from the Windows App Store. If that is the case, they could block Firefox or Chrome from the store if they somehow allow Flash or Silverlight.

That was the first thing I used when it was loaded. Memory management is useful as well. It used 1GB when it was initially loaded, I've upped it a little:
