According to PlanetAMD64, NOD32 has a x64 bit version available and Speedfan (4.24) and DVD Shrink (3.2.0.15) both work under XP64 (all three of these apps are listed under the download section, hence should work)
Dunky was just trying to be helpful, no need to be a sarky get Tob3z
Back OT, the link I gave a couple of posts up lists the compatibility of virtually every piece of popular hardware and software, and has a list of native 64-bit apps as well. A very useful site, which Otacon has kindly added into the first post!
Yeh I know but comon, 10 pages to read through. Its not many and hey, Im on 64k. When I get home theres guna be a suprise for me. 2MB PIPEX, W00P. Then I will be able to download drivers lol. Oh and the beta NOD32, or would that be NOD64?
Yeah I thought it would be called NOD64, but it's just a NOD32 64-bit Beta... maybe they're saving NOD64 for a final release. When are you gonna install XP x64 Tob3z? I'm gonna do it Wednesday hopefully
Well hopefully when I get back from work exp which should be saturday. If all gos well and I find that I have broadband I will install on the saturday. But if I dont have broadband I won't install. Because you know I will have loads of drivers to download.
Been running it for last 12hrs and all of my drivers and apps thus far are 100%. Hoping it will fix my BF2 crashing problems too, that so many people are having on XP.
Don't suppose anybody knows a good adsl modem that works in 64 bit windows do ya? I've got a bt voyager 105. Contacted bt and they said
"Dear Sir / Madam
Thank you for your e-mail dated 23/7/05 about voyager 105 modem
I am very sorry but we don't have any 64 bit drivers for V105 . If we do make any drivers for the V105 these will be posted on our website www.Voyager.bt.com"
A lot of people here just use a router matey... gets rid of the hassle of connecting all the time, lets you share the connection and many extra features like a hardware firewall, wireless connectivity, and many have a built in modem.
I have the 3Com model with built in ADSL modem, connect to it via LAN. You can get it for around £65 with a free wireless NIC if you look around
what do you mean by P2P and normal mode? I have seen on PlanetAMD64... "...hit the MENU button to switch modes. 2. Hit enter (whatever this may be on your particular camera) with the usb connect button highlighted on the lcd. Three modes should then be revealed, PictBridge, PTP, and Normal."
But I cant do any of that on my camera... or I dont know how Can you enlighten me?
Would be nice if some of you peeps could post on the following link to lets the developers of Outpost Pro firewall, know that users want 64bit software now, and not like in 2 or 3 years time
I like x64 edition. I would have it as my mainstream OS except for the fact that Canon hasn't got 64-bit drivers for my scanner and printer. Oh and a 64-bit edition of either Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120%. If those were fixed XP32 would be wiped clean off in one swoop.
The general opinion is that if you can find working drivers for all your devices, then you should have relatively few problems using the OS, if any at all, so why not
