The Witcher 2 - Thread

The Witcher was such a good RPG - and set such high standards for me - that I can't play another RPG now without it falling short.

Tell me about it. Played the Directors Cut from Steam when it was offer. Then got Dragon Age, and I just cannot do the combat on that at all. Needless to say, I hold The Witcher in much higher regard, its just much easier to play, and what they did with the story, the setting, the characters is just brilliant.

However, I'm really gonna have to try and learn how to do well in combat on Dragon Age, I was really intrigued by the story.

I really hope this is better than the first one, I really wanted to love it (really enjoy the books) but the combat was atrocious and several of the quest descriptions were terrible.

incase anyone missed it on the trailer :)

I should probably finish the first one - really liked it from the start but it tailed off in that village outside the castle walls. IIRC just about got inside the place - does it get much better?

Wow.. Didn't even know this was coming out!! Whats the release date? Really should finish the first one, have got quite far but keep getting distracted by other games and never finishing it!

In the end I decided to grab the enhanced edition of the first game, must be worth it for only a tenner. I shall see what all the fuss is about,...hopefully. ;)
