Find your install files and there should be a bin folder, the config tool is in there iirc.

I hope this sells well. Only their second game. THey could prove to be a shinning example of PC development

I bought The Witcher on the christmas steam sales and only played the first few levels and never went back to it(I bought loads of games at the time).

I'm going to give it a go again right now.

I could have got it from steam, but as CD Projekt RED promised NO DRM :D, I bought Witcher 2 from GOG instead regardless whether I play it or not, just to stick two, no four;) fingers up to the rest of the greedy fat cats that slaughter the PC community for piracy(who seem to forget the rife piracy going on with ALL consoles!) and cripple the paying customer with DRM instead of giving the PC versions a much better experience.

Our precious rigs are capable of much much better optimisations than the crap low rez cross platform titles they churn out time after time!

Anyway rant over and I hope everybody here enjoys many, many hours of The Witcher 2 DRM FREE!:p

1920x1080
Everything on ultra, beside one of the shadow settings (on high) and uber sampling OFF, AA on (dunno what level it is)

Running at between 30-50FPS, very happy, it looks STUNNING.

i5 750 currently at 3.2Ghz (might put it back up to 4 later but I doubt it'll make a difference)
Heavily OC'd GTX 470 (it's a GTX 570 in everything but 3DMark Scores)
Windows 7 64-Bit
4GB Ram

Should give you an idea.

Edit: 99% GPU usage, so far I've just been testing the opening and one large open area with a lot going on

Just hoping my 4890 will be able to play this a high settings without struggling too much.

Really want to upgrade my graphics but holding out till xmas to replace mine and the wifes graphics cards :p

Also i bought 1 retail copy but my wife has just finished the first witcher and wants to play witcher 2 now aswell :( do you think it would be alright to put it on both our machines and be able to update it?

Looks better than Crysis Margaret?:p seems a nice engine then from what you say performance wise and try uber sampling on for a laugh.:D

I just can't be bothered to replay through witcher 1 enhanced even if i'm using texture mods and want that save game... oh well :(

I think so :) I would say the engines can maybe produce the same level of quality but this has a much, much better art direction than Crysis, the environments are massive and look fantastic!

I did some combat and now I'm gonna go to bed. Still running great, nice and smooth, not my beloved 60FPS constant but for this level of detail I can let that slide. :D

My settings, not sure what dangling objects limit does but it was turned off even when I picked ultra, the only setting I turned down was number of shadowed lights, I didn't test what difference it made though, just usually shadow related stuff are a good thing to turn down. :p

The AA is alright, it's not that jaggy as such but it looks very sharp and crisp. Not touched uber sampling. :p

Gonna test it without vsync tomorrow as that worsens my FPS considerably in some games. (I don't mean limiting it to my refresh rate either, some games just seem to run better without vsync on, period)

I've got a recent savegame if you want a copy

Choices i made were, Stayed neutral all the way though, broke curse of werewolf/striga went with Triss, and got the raven armor.

Pretty much played the good guy and did mostly the right thing (aside from staying neutral).

I. Cant. WAIT!!!!

If i go to sleep now, I'll probably sleep in well past the delivery and miss it ..... I should stay awake until it arrives, and then play it all day long in a super lethargic state until I pass out!

..... Or no, I'll at least have a nap now, I hate being nocturnal when I'm getting new stuff :(

Bah its 2.30 gonna get some sleep, gonna leave GOG downloader active and hope i get the last 121 mg in the morning when i get up :(

I want to play :< I didnt stay up till this time for it, i was trying to rush through arkham asylum... finally completed it. Now my mind is at ease for witcher 2 :P

Thanks tommy, its 6 now so not long to wait :). Seems like a few people having problems and forums not back up yet :(, even the timer on the The Witcher 2 web page has gone

I am awake!

My 3 hour nap was enough, now I must have this game delivered, please hurry :(
