I did know but hadn't been back to it specifically, the launcher doesn't have config as an option, unlike say Mass effect launcher. So I only saw it once and didn't remember everything in game, look in the manual and it doesn't have alt/lock on listed at all.

Just tried to play with it, 2 loads to get the mouse buttons working in combat. Combat still sucks major balls with a target locked on. Lets say I use Aard to knock a guy down, i then click to hit him and the other two hit me on the way to him as its knocked him beyond the first guys. I use Yrden, one guy walks into it, before I can hit him the other guys are between us and I'm locked on to the wrong guy.

Its not only exceedingly frustrating, its flat out stupid and not in the slightest bit fun.

Sounds like you need to learn the ways of 'rolly polly stabby run' ;)

"Stay tuned on the Witcher 2 CAP - we're currently looking at it (for most games the final release is usually different from beta)".

Guessing new driver RC or/and profile should emerge in the next few days for this game to improve performance.

During a podcast one of the head honchos at CD Pojekt said that it was one of his favourite games. I've sadly not gotten around to it yet, but it's on the shortlist of games to get when I cave and get a ps3
 
This game is hard. This game looks amazing even on medium settings.

Getting 30-60fps on medium settings. Seems to be the best option for my spec.

Loving it so far. Combat is abit hard to get used to.
 
Combat will take some getting used too, but it was the same in the first game. Otherwise it looks stunning. Just finished the prologue and saved it there.

Only annoying thing is not being able to invert mouse in game, having to change the user.ini file is just daft. Bit of an oversight there! Strangely though it dosent feel right playing inverted even though that is how I always play.
 
Nobody has mentioned it yet but apparantly the witcher 2 uses their own engine, so why does the ground textures look like Two Worlds 2!!. They are blurry pos at distance and AF does nothing :(
 
Anybody know if this game has extra storage space?

In the first game the Inn keepers filled this role, but I'm now in Act 1 and I've been to the Inn and there is no option to store my crap! I have too much stuff and it's weighing me down and I don't really want to get rid of most of it since it's mostly item crafting stuff.
 
So everything maxed out on 270 drivers i get about 50fps, rare drops to around 40 fps. Ubersampling decimates my fps though, 15-25 fps. Turning it on and off, I didnt really noticed a different in visuals :S
Graphics are fantastic.

I need to give the 275s a go...

So far im loving the game, combat is a bit slow as others have said but meh. The combat isnt difficult at all, for the tougher opponents you just stun them with magic and proceed to sodomize them.
 
I have just recieved an email from Amazon with a code for something called the Ultimate Swordsman Suit Pack DLC.
Great, I'll just type it randomly in to my desktop shall I?:rolleyes:

If it doesn't come tomorrow I will destroy them!
