just its the sort of amusing yet annoying thing a developer could put in as anti-piracy
Well i was going to start this game today, but i can't access the dlc or my pre order armour. Not Happy!
Servers are up,I have all my entitled DLC (make sure you get your DLC bonus code from your retail supplier of the game for any pre-order bonus),the Troll Trouble DLC is free btw so no code is needed for that.
Anybody having any issues I suggest you read through known fixes here http://www.en.thewitcher.com/support/faq/#t5 and here http://www.en.thewitcher.com/community/ .
Btw only trouble I had few days ago was with registration code ie one of my "0" numbers was actually an "O" .
I also suggest you run as Admin for Vista/Win7 users and if you use the W2 short cut icon change the games properties to "run as Admin".

I second this. Was very frustrating trying all permutations of O's and 0's

When i open the launcher it says connection error try again later but then that message goes after a few seconds and it says i am online.
In the downlaodable content screen, on the left side is the polish voiceover and subtitles but no Troll Trouble or anythin else. And when i put in my pre order code it says "invalid cdkey"
I thought i would try downloading the polish subtitles to see if i could and it downloaded them with no problems.
This is just ridiculous

I have two little complaints though.
Your quick-use items are cleared from your slots randomly though they still show as being selected.
And more annoyingly, the dice game, you can't see what've you rolled until you select the dice to re-roll, the viewing angle is ridiculous! Unlike the first game
Oh, and the arm wrestling is weird.

Cheers, but i have Been trying those fixes for the last hour or so and still nothings happening
Does anyone know how to get rid of the black lines at the top & bottom of the screen? I'm running 1920 x 1200 with full screen enabled and it's cut the top & bottom like a film
The game was designed for 16:9 1920x1080 ,so you will have to wait for a patch or two when you can use your native 1920x1200 res.

There is no 16:10 support yet.
You only ever register once(when just got the game and you create a new account for W2) and login does not work yet so don't try that, so if you already registered successfully(first time) you can go to the download content option on W2 launcher ,btw did you run W2 as Admin?

Yeah i'm running as admin. I managed to dl the polish subtitles (even though i don't want them) but other than that nothing appears in the downloadable content tab.
I had English voice/text DLC appear first for me then few hours later DLC for Troll Trouble ,then a day after the polish content voice/text downloads which I did not install.
So bascially I installed English voice and text first then Troll trouble DLC(no code needed),and last my ultimate magical suit pre-order bonus DLC(I had to put in the redeem code for that for it to appear as DLC).

As usual, it was my fault somewhere(though i don't know where!).
I uninstalled and reinstalled it and now all of the dlc is there. Probably going to start it tonight then.
I tried some of the extra adventures for 1 last night, but didn't think they were much tbh.

I wish LA Noire didn't come out around the same time as this.
I still think TW2 is the better game but LA Noire is the game I've been wanting to play more. Will get through LA Noire and get back to TW2. Just started chapter 2 btw.

I'm doing it the other way around
. Hopefully LA Noire will have a small price drop in about a month or so, either that or I'll borrow it off a friend.This is ultra details at 1920*1200 with ubersampling off. Get around 40fps with this settings. I would prefer 60, but when playing on gamepad 40 is enough.
And yes, it is one of the most beautiful games ever made.
