The Witcher 2 - Thread

Looks good.

Although I played the first witcher, the mouse and controls where very tough to adust too at the beginning.

I lent the game to a freind, who gave up at the first act, simply becuase of the controls. Granted, he gives up very easily if things arent laid on a plate for him!

I'm still in Act II in TW1 and really enjoying it now I'm actually remembering to use the signs in combat and now that I have loads of potions. Just started making some monies gambling too. :D

I hate the swamp zone, horrible level design IMO.

I never managed to get in to the first one. I didn't like the movement animation or the graphics. Are there any high res graphic mods?

It may have been asked, but can he jump now, was one of the gripes i had with the last 1, or is it a case of white witchers cant jump?

( still need to finish the 1st game, got to chapter 3 when i lost my saves :( )

Fairly sure the Witcher will auto jump over obstacles like fences and such. Remember seeing that in an early Alpha build.

I've got to say its looking rather excellent, and like a proper RPG, without all the oldschool trappings some of us actually liked removed :)
Preordered from Amazon in the end, I was tempted by DRM-free GOG, but the physical extras swayed me.
