The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Pre-Order is now on Steam for £34.99. If you have The Witcher or The Witcher 2 you get it for £32.49. The GOG.com pre-order is a much better offer though imo due to all the extra bonus content.

There is zero chance I will not be playing this game at release, and zero chance I will buy it anywhere other than GOG. I pre-ordered now, and I have 3 new games to play as well; Neverwinter Nights, In Cold Blood(loved that game!) and Rollercoaster Tycoon.

Pre-ordered from GOG at 36 or so since you get a discount for owning Witcher 1 & 2.

It's £31.85 from Amazon for a physical copy which comes with a nice map etc or am I missing something as to why a digital download would be better?

Edit: Seems price has gone up since I ordered it.

Realistically what sort of spec are we talking to run this at 1920x1200 at >50fps?

Planning on buying a new PC late Jan, any big hardware releases due by then?

Appeared on steam now for a pretty expensive price of £50. I already have witcher and witcher 2 so its 20% off. I would pay £50 for this game in a heartbeat as I think its worth it.
But im actually gonna get it off GOG as I think the company deserve my money.
Don't know what the specs are yet, but with Titan blacks SLI I wont worry.

Ordering from GOG means that the money is going direct to the developers. In turn you will get a lot of bonus items but I can't recall really looking at that when I ordered as it doesn't bother me that much. CD Projeckt are one of those companies that deserve the money as they are a superb developer.

Edit: Said developers twice in one sentence derp.

Well said!

Hope Galaxy is a success for them too.

Yeah, CDPR are great and make good games, I love them too...but I must take issue with the idea of anyone 'deserving' peoples money. You are paying for the product, and if the game is crap(obviously it won't be) I will not take any comfort thinking that at least I gave CDPR some money!

Please no, totally no, just no no no no and no.

Keep the Witcher series identity the same and just let them carry on making superb Witcher type Witcher games.

The combat on the witcher series is the weakest part by far it would benefit from a heavy dose of souls

When I pre order a game I base it on the trust I have in the developer, CD Projectk along with Paradox have mine in spades. They develop for PC first and not as an afterthought like most devs do these days thankfully. Yes, its still a risk but not as much so as backing an EA or Ubisoft title nowadays.
