The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

I think that Blacksmith only works at certain times of the day. I've gone there a few times and not been able to talk to him. Try waiting an hour or 2 then talking again.

I could talk to him the first time I visited, but following that while he was there you could only interact with the armorer.

Anyone done a secondary mission called "On Hard Times", on Skellige.

To complete the mission you have to deliver a letter to the blacksmith at Kaer Tolde. But for some reason, you don't get the choice to interact with him, so I am unable to complete it.

Yeah you have to meditate for 2 hours or so then he should be sitting down so you can talk to him.

How would you rate the game? how long did it take you?

10/10 for me, going back to other games this afternoon has made me realize how good TW3 has been.

I've put 85 hours into it and done all quests / contracts I just had a few ? in Skellige and some more gwent cards to get but I'll get them later.

Just reached the first "big" area and I am actually struggling. I loved the witcher 1 but the insane map size is overwhelming me!
Same. Witcher 1 was massive but 3 is just insane. Been playing almost a few hours a day and I'm Lv21 and barely made a dent in the main storyline as I'm exploring so much. Yet I still have heaps of ?'s on the map.

Sussed it. Meditated until 12pm and finished the contract.:D

I'm absolutely astounded at how much content there is in this game. How did they do all that writing, design and stuff in that amount of time!? Impressed and I'm only level 9!

As for the Whispering Hillock...

I killed the ghost in the tree - what a horrible decision to make!

Also, wow the graphic artists really went to town on those three crones, didn't they!? The Godling was awesome too. Made me smile. :)

Werewolves were really giving me a hard time actually and after about 5 goes at the last one with insane regen I sussed it out.

Quen, Cursed oil and lots of igni worked a treat!

Sadly they don't have the New Game Plus system yet, so if you start a new game you start from scratch.

Lots of people asking for that for new playthroughs and so they can try newly added DLCs. I personally feel it's silly adding in DLC for under level 10's, and forcing new gear like the Wolf set to start at Kaer Morhen while only being level 14 to craft and use. So it forces you to get to the second Act before you can get it.

So far we also don't know how our current endings will play out in the two upcoming expansions as well.

EDIT:
More data is being pulled showing a new game plus system might be coming

Are there any enemies in the game that you would need gear like that to defeat?

There's a few rare level 48 things, but no not at the moment. Hence the New Game Plus system people want.

Say you finish the game at level 34, and want to play again but make different choices. Then the NG+ system means you can start at level 34 with your gear and the rest of the world scales up to match and exceed your level.

So then the level 54 items are suddenly useful as you'll probably then be level 60 before you finish this playthrough.

I'll probably finish the game, and wait, new game plus, DLC, expansions and the inevitable "Enhanced Edition" would make for an epic second playthrough.

The first expansion Blood and Wine is due in October, and another then in January. Should be good, as they're promising around 20-30 hours for them.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the Wolf armour looks like in action, but I am already level 18ish, and many hours away from Kaer Morhen, so it will probably be useless by the time I get it:(

The advantage is like other Witcher armour you can upgrade it to Enhanced, Superior and Mastercrafted.
Plus folks found game files for Legendary, and Legendary Mastercrafted Witcher gear.
