The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

If you kill it, the orphans of the bog die though. Tricky one.

I think my preferred choice is to free it.

How many children will die in the village though? Personally I didn't know what would happen either way but I don't tend to trust giant gnarly vaginas that sit under spooky trees

I just think it makes more sense the way the story progresses to free the spirit... I mean, you are doing this for some weird crones who couldn't be more obviously evil. The spirit tells you it will save the children if you free it. It makes sense to me to do it as I didn't want to be in a position where I was doing anything the crones wanted me to. It seemed like I should be defying them.

Obviously, knowing how it plays out changes everything of course and you can base the decision on other things. In terms of knowing the outcomes, I would kill it. In terms of how the story flows, I would free it.

It's a great quest.

Yeah it's probably the best quest in the game, that and the cursed tower were spectacular. Thing is though, the Crones are indeed evil, but their mother was something else. She just rampaged and tried to murder every living thing in Velen, so the Crones killed her and trapped her spirit in the tree, thus saving all the humans/non humans. Interesting characters, those three. Though I'd hazard a guess that they only saved the people of Velen so they could sort of enslave them for themselves, but still, what was done was done. :D

Died about 5 times on the Ciri bit where you are with dandelion on temple Isle. It is so clunky and awkward. Oh you tried to dodge whilst kind of near a horse. Of course you just be trying to get on the horse for no reason. They take free shots at me as the long animation plays:rolleyes:

Of course it doesn't help that I've usually lost half of my health before I've got there because of the retarded horse riding bit before it were the horse will just stop for no reason.

I despise the Ciri bits from a gameplay perspective.

I know that bit and yes it was a bit clunky. Must have died a heap of times before I got past it barely.

This isn't out yet? Or at least it's not available to download on GOG.

Jenny O'The Wood...

I didn't have the moon dust bomb recipe at that point, just about managed with Yrden traps and oil after about 15 goes. OMG so bloody annoying!

Defeated Imerlith recently, it was going too easily for a Witcher boss fight until I got him down to 1/3 health where he drops his shield and goes berserk. Took me by surprise first time and he killed me with a few swings. Managed to beat him on the second try though, glad I upgraded Quen heavily - it proved pretty damn useful!

Went to Skileliegi for a good while yesterday as I've been ignoring that island mostly in favour of clearing quests around Novigrad etc. Ended up taking screenshot after screenshot of gorgeous scenery :o

I've been doing the same, Skellige makes Skyrim look drab :D

I've been running around doing the witcher gear treasure hunts and the Ursine school bits n bobs have taken me to some amazing places.

Yeah, quest
wraiths
are well annoying. The only sure fire way to fight them I've found is to work out their max chase range and kite the hell out of them while dropping out of range as required to heal and re-quen.

Can anyone help me with the cheapest place to pick this up? With Batman AK being so bad I'm looking for something to make my 980Ti shine. Thanks in advance.

Well,

It took a while to click - stay away from the three duplicates as they suck life from you to heal the wraith. I found that laying a Yrden trap to zap them while I stayed away worked quite well. The stun effect is handy to keep the wraith busy too.

In the end I was using Quen shield, dropping two Yrden circles and a trap, luring her in and beating on her as much as possible, dodging out after 3 hits each time. The stamina regen potion came in handy as did Quen shield when my health got low.

Hardest fight so far. Might have been easier with Moon Dust I think.

I was tired and impatient/frustrated last night. Bloody game had me up until 2am!
