The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

I just watched the 15 minute gameplay bit and tbh, combined with playing Pillars of Eternity it has kind of dampened my enthusiasm a bit. It will without doubt be incredible, and probably one of the best games ever made, and I am still really looking forward to it, but I am disappointed that they seem to have completely stripped out all of the RPG elements. I know the Witcher games weren't really RPGs anyway, but the first game tried at least. I watched a segment just now where Geralt spoke about 5 or 6 lines without anything being chosen by the player....In The Witcher you chose everything he said(and he did actually say it as well, not something different!!).

That's the "Expansion Pass" is it not? It was just added to the store, so probably some glitch with Steam.

I'm not a fan of these expansion/season passes. You have no idea what the expansions will be when you buy or even how many expansions they will produce in some cases.

I guess people are buying them or they wouldn't have caught on as much as they have though.

It might just be that specific segment of gameplay was like that. Was it the first 15 minutes? That might explain it as more of an exposition thing to set up the story for newcomers rather than overwhelming them all at once with choosing stuff they wouldn't know about.

I've not watched it as I don't want to spoil anything for myself (yes even the first 15 minutes) but it may be that they've done it specifically with certain dialogue choices pre chosen, as to spoil as little of the story as possible prior to release.

I'm not to bothered about Geralt saying what he wants, as long as I do have some input along the way that affects his personality, but multiple choices would be best.

How well do you think this game will run on an ATI Radeon HD 4690 2GB ?

Unfortunately, not well at all. It's significantly under the minimum requirements for this game. I'd expect it'll appear to be a slideshow on the very lowest settings.

I hope the Nvidia bundle doesn't signal the sign of months of waiting for Crossfire support. :(

Witcher isn't really an RPG, its more of an ARPG. I couldn't really get to grips with the games myself, although the second was an improvement on the first. However, the final act was simply naff.

Back playing NWN2 - MotB for old school PRGing. Between that, training and building a shed, my Easter holidays are kind of full :p

The 7870 is a little better than the 6950. So you're just under minimum requirements, until the game comes out it's hard to know whether you can run it. If you can wait, I suggest you see what the benchmarks say.
