I'm playing 2 now just to get me in the mood for it. I found it a bit of a chore at first, but it's growing on me.

I have to say, with SLI 980s I'm hitting 45fps at some points when uber sampling is enabled!

The Witcher 1 is worth picking up to get a flavour of the world and the way witchers are regarded. Also for the soundtrack

Witcher 1 is the better game imo, not saying 2 is rubbish, by god it is a masterpiece as well. But 1 has the edge for me.

Yeah I preferred Witcher 1. Mostly because it focusses on the actual Witchers and monster lore instead of politics and kings. Not saying its bad, just felt that W1 had a better overall atmosphere. Oh and soundtrack!
