The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Downloaded the 2 parts from "Get Backup & Extras", 2.2GB. Downloaded at full speed and used the .exe to install.

Now Galaxy trying to install the patch again :).

If you click on the Abort button next to the Play button, you should be able to click on the latter and play - providing you installed the 2 part patches.

Seems to work here anyway, just got no playtime to test it until Sunday!

Yeah I clicked abort and it played fine, 1.08. Performance seemed improved. However I looked later and it was updating again :).

Not sure what's happened with the latest patch but my frame rates have stone dived at night time, especially in weather.. In some areas I was getting 40fps and had to drop my shadows and grass. It's been doing 70fps all the time before, same settings checked

Just started playing this, only at level 3 and loving it so far. Absolutely gorgeous to look at.

Can anyone recommend some good mods to install.

Yeah this one, to skip the intro video and storybook telling sequences.

Not really using any other mods myself though, but do appreciate that one. :)

Thanks, I'll install this later.

The guy who "narrates" those intros has to be the most disinterested, boring voice actor I've had the misfortune to listen to, in a long time.

Just picked this up.

Regarding the free DLC. I noticed I need to activate/tick each one. Am I best just getting them all before I start playing? Might seem obvious, just seems odd that as they are free they don't auto download and there is a choice to be made. e.g. they may effect the main game or something.

This game is incredible really.

Except for one major flaw, that it seems hard to play it without out-levelling quests/content. I thought i was doing something wrong but it seems to be a common reading around the web.

sword values

Two swords...one needs a higher level to use than the other..it also deals more damage, better attributes etc...both have same gem slots...but the apparent superior sword is around 300 in value while the inferior is around 1500..anyone know the reason why???

Loved witcher 1....hated 2....3 is one of those games that come along once in a blue moon..but should have been called witcher goes to Elder Scrolls...which isn't a bad thing. Brilliant! (Just don't want to finish it yet at the same time have GTA 5 waiting to be installed!)

I couldn't see any reason not to install it all, I don't think the extra quests will effect the main game really, I'll admit I've not really checked but I'm sure they must just be optional side quests. You might find you don't want some of the 'alternative looks', but they can be switched on and off within the main menu once installed.

Skellige is where this game turns from a masterpeice to just something every one should pick up and play.

There are people out there that don't realise how good it is!!

One of my mates, wont touch the game due to him not liking the first 15mins of the witcher 1. :o
