The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Got an annoying problem. Despite running at 60 FPS the game feels like I'm playing at 20 FPS when running in borderless fullscreen which I like to use as it stops screen tearing without needing vsync and lets me mess about on my second screen without having to Alt-Tab out of games. Really annoying issue :(.

I wish I could live with it :)

In the grand scheme of things it is a very minor issue but having said that, little things like that drive me mad. Although I have never had an official examination or anything I believe I do have OCD, even if it is not as extreme as lot of people have these niggly things seem to bother me. I think also been a perfectionist doesn't help, I suppose perfectionist and OCD are kind of the same thing in a way :p

I had a quest that failed completely because I didn't want to do something or other (ages ago and can't remember the detail), that bothered me and I reloaded a previous save and just didn't pick up that quest. But I'm not going to expand each quest or look at completed quests much, I wouldn't have noticed this one until I read your post, think how angry I'd now be with you if it did bother me!! :)

I watched a really good programme with Jon Richardson a few years back where he was looking into whether he was a bit OCD and meeting people who had it badly. My goodness, I can't believe how badly some people have it and how it ruins their lives. Well worth a watch. Anyway, sorry, strayed off topic..

Figured out that my stuttering is because I'm using DS4 Tool. It only happens in windowed modes though and runs perfectly in full screen. No idea how to fix it though :(.

does everyones game stutter when entering a new village with lots of characters on screen?

Nope, but the characters sometimes only appear when you get really close to them. See their names floating in the air, then as you get closer the character appears.

Pretty much the only problem I'm having with the game.

Had no huge problems with this game at all then, a few CTDs here and there but had a CTD today and now I cant even load any games, just get a CTD.

Tried verifying files and it makes no difference.

Also tried a different save file and still get a CTD :(

I get his too and it's the only issue I have. 40+ hrs and no crashes :)

Well I've just completed a quest you're gonna hate! Without giving spoilers, you can talk to one of two people about an item you found, whichever person you talk to will give you a red cross for not talking to the other person.

I guess its a case of not seeing the red cross as a failure, the ticks and crosses just show what you did and didn't do.

I am getting this too, but I am not using DS4 so it's not that causing it for me :(

Am holding out for 1.08 and hoping that fixes some stuffs :D

I seem to have a problem with the Witcher gear quests.

One of them, is telling me to go to Khaer Moren and the map points to Khaer Moren, but there is no green posts anywhere on the map to travel too.

Also blue screened tonight. WHEA uncorrectable error. Would normally say it's the CPU overclock, but this is Win 10. The CPU is at least 8 hours prime stable, has been gaming solidly since April, so I'm thinking Win 10.

Also Goggling seems to suggest driver rather than unstable system.

Oh great add to the anxiety  :p

GWENT - I didn't get it, but now have lost hours since the weekend to it. Got a decent Northern Realms deck now. Haven't progressed at all in the story line - lol.

Really love the atmosphere of this game. Was playing quite a lot over the weekend, for the first time in a long time I got scared lol (well was more of a jump scare) was casually out exploring in some forest to have a wolf jump out of freaking no where with a really loud growl. I nearly fell out of my chair it scared the living **** out of me :D

GoG Galaxy has stalled here for the update.

At first it was showing 7.5GB for the 1.08 update. Yet when you goto Backup & Extra's, the patch is there in 2 parts totalling 2.2GB. Can't download either at the moment.

I noticed that. I tried earlier to d/l the two separate parts, which worked but couldn't find any straightforward way of using them. I'm fairly sure they aren't the patch, though. Having finally managed to get the patch through Galaxy; it was 7.5 GB.
