The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

really starting to get into this now. I've had it from release but just couldn't seem to get into it. Lvl 6 now and roaming the lands, it's so damn big. Also, just getting to learn combat properly and mix in some cool attacks with signs which is quite satisfying. Now gotta learn how the hell to craft weapons and armour properly and find a way of making some decent coin. Money seems so hard to come by.
It is hard to come by, but you also rarely *need* that much of it(meaning you wont be hindered greatly if you're not 'well off'). I find it refreshing quite honestly. So used to becoming super rich fairly quickly in RPG's and then finding it's boring because I can afford whatever I want whenever I want. Good to have money feel like something precious.

One tip is to collect animal pelts as you're out and about and sell them to innkeepers, who will buy them at a higher price than other merchants.

Thanks for taking the time to help. Would you say it's best to sell the majority of the "junk" or break it down for crafting mats?

I'm getting so in to this now, can't put it down for some reason. The game plays now as smooth and flawless on crossfire and freesync as it ever has done with a few gpu tricks to force the clocks to not fluctuate.

It's situational whether to sell or dismantle. You've gotta kind of take time to look at what items dismantle into what, and learn what sort of materials you need. If something only sells for like 1 or 2 gold, but you can get some thread or whatever, I'd dismantle just so you dont have to track down somebody who sells thread as you'll need it for a lot of armor crafting, just as an example. But there's a lot of fairly worthless or abundant materials, so sometimes it's worth selling the low priced junk anyways, just to clear it from the inventory and make what you can off of it.

thanks, that's kinda what I've been doing.

how do you continue with "find out if ciri is in velen?" done the important quests that i can see, skellige + novigrad is done, just this one! do i have to finish some more novigrad quests?
No, you should get it done if you finish the main quests. I will mark spoilers

You have to find Anna, the Bloody Baron's wife. So just progress his quest line.

Loving this so far, Only played around 2 hours but damn this gamne is gorgeous especially with the "Increase LOD", "High Quality Faces", Super Turbo Lighting Mod and HD Re-work Project -

Got an invincible bandit on Fool's Gold, just had to download a mod that supposedly fixes it. Hope it does! Level 13 now, which isn't too bad but am holding off missions to explore all the ?'s, and treasure etc/

Just finished the main story. Apart from a slight disappointment with how under-powered the final bosses felt, it's left me still hankering for more even after 110 hours of play-time. Best story-driver RPG I can remember for many a year. Really brought Geralt's story and character alive and made you feel part of it. Great stuff. Gonna miss it.

Did you play the DLC yet? Many more hours play time with that my friend

Get Hearts of Stone, it is one of the best expansions ever made. After that you can join us in waiting for Blood and Wine.

Not played this for a while now so out of the loop with mods if any new decent ones have come out.

I've got a few ATM from files I had saved - auto loot, fairprice merchants.

Any suggestions on others to try out? Also my sweetfx has been deleted probably due to patches and suggestions on a sweetfxbto try think my previous one was kputts.

I've taken a break from this, got annoyed when I realised I had powered through the story to the last chapter so to speak. Still got LOADS to do that I've now outleveled :(
