The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Noob question -

Never played any of the witcher games and coming to the end of my time in Skyrim SE.

Is this worth a punt? Do I need to have played the previous games?

It is definitely worth it. You don't need to have played the previous games but you should as they are great. You will not know who some of the characters are,but nothing major. You will still be able to follow everything easy enough.

It isn't like Skyrim at all. It is a more streamlined game, more focused on story.

Thanks

That looks awesome Paul... But tbh I have it looking really good with a sweetfx, so whilst it would probably look better with STLM, I don't think I'll risk messing about with it

I just started my second play through after completing my first back in 2015 and I have to say, it's good to be back. In the last 15 months or so I've played Fallout 4, Skyrim SE and a couple of others but none hold a flame to Witcher 3.

I went with the new start option that merges the main game and DLC and have only just got to White Orchard but I'm already having to force myself to stop playing as eating is somewhat essential. :D

Yeah I can see this being up there with ME1 and 2 for replay value. I'll have another play through of all three in a year or two and make completely different choices.

Won the game in a competition on Gregsters YouTube channel yonks ago but never got around to playing it, gotta say it does look lovely.
