Looking for some info regarding W3 and the expansion pass.
As I already own W3, if I purchase the expansion pass, will it upgrade the game into the GOTY edition?
Yes, you will have the exact same content as if you had GOTY edition.

Thanks mate, but probably should have been clearer, as I don't have vanilla W3 installed just now, if I purchase the expansion pack, do you have to install all the patches (since launch) one by one manually or would it install 'the whole lot' in one shot?
If you buy on GOG, you will get both GOTY "all in one" installation, as well as separate one where you can install just the base game if you want.
If you buy on Steam, it will just add the expansions to your base game and when you download it it will contain everything.
May have to try that lighting mod, looks great. I find vanilla too Orangeyno sweetfx, stlm 3.1 on, AA ingame enabled, sharpeness low, 4K via DSR downsampled to 1080p
UI, dialogue and combat are great btw, heathens
Having an issue guys maybe you can help
I recently decided to jump back in to blood and wine, my last save was in December however it's fine I seem to be back in to the swing of things!
However the game is on my old standard HDD so I decided to uninstall and then reinstall on my SSD as the loading is on the slow side
However it won't install! I'm on GoG. I choose the C: drive and folder to install to. It starts to do something then just fails and claims not enough disc space, although there's plenty.
Any ideas?
Also am I right in thinking as I owned the base vanilla game and expansions separately, that's how I need to install it to access my saves? Not the GOTY version they have dropped in to my library

Does it work for B&W?
When you say plenty of space how much are you talking about exactly?
I ask because the only guess that comes to mind is that its downloading files to a temp location before install, so it may possibly be taking twice the size to install, as your destination is your root drive where all windows temp files will download to, or its possibly increasing the size of the page file to hold the temp data. Could maybe try changing the windows temp file folder to your hdd. Also keep in mind that you are supposed to keep either 10 or 20% (cant remember which) of your ssd free for it to move files around to save wear on it.
As far as I know the goty & is exactly the base game & both expansions, so it shouldnt make any difference, again this is a pure guess.
Nice I will take a look. I prefer the gritty colours of the base game for sureFor Blood and Wine I used sweetfx preset to remove the excessive yellowness. But there is mod on nexus that also does it and does not require sweetfx.
I had that problem also(cant remember what fixed it for me) a lot had same problem it seems, must be fix there somewhere for you https://www.google.co.uk/search?safe=off&q=can't+install+witcher+3+says+not+enough+space&spell=1&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwicr6yitL3VAhWJAMAKHVbNDaAQBQglKAA&biw=1366&bih=638I guess it could be that! It suggests 36gb I think and I have 80gb left so maybe I need to free up some space. I'm a bit confused as I don't really have much installed on the ssd but my space seems to be very limited! Is there a good way of seeing what's taking up room? I'm not too up on storage related stuff
Appreciate your advice
I am a big fan of "The Wticher". The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an amazing Game as ever, very nice environment, story and general gameplay, BUT...unfortunately not so entertaining as the previous ones...
I could say that i got a little bored especially with the 2 expansions "Hearts of Stone" + "Blood and Wine"
