Oh so it's a gossip podcast. Seems silly to take it seriously then unless it's actually from someone on the show.
They seem a pretty legit outfit, just scrolling though their episode listings and they have quite a few entertainment news 'journalists'/insiders and the like on.

I'd just wait for an actual source. These days it's not like there is a stigma against speaking out on workplace harassment and associated activity. Anonymously from a gossip podcast is a pretty loose source.
Yeap, 100% agree. The problem is that it gets amplified by reactions on SM and what initially was an "anonymous" puff piece of gossip (and therefore very unlikely to be correct for both sides) now starts to get reported by mass media, who are less inclined to dig into the origins and instead start reporting it as fact alongside the "angry fan" reaction to it because click-bait sells advert impressions leading to advertising revenue.
When they have nothing to back up their claim they are hardly going to go an 'official' publication.. just spout some unfounded ****** on a few of the lesser known news outlets and just wait for the Chinese whisper network to build up a bit of steam

That is not true at all, there have been numerous allegations publicly released over the last few years in a whole variety of fields.
I would love to say I'm surprised that so many people are calling it ******** without any way of knowing that though.

LOL sounds like they needed him way more than they realised; female showrunner and female writers getting upset at the star who is immersed in the story, the games etc. and that he's a gamer and clicked with a writer who also was is seen as criticism????
Imagine the roles were reversed, some male showrunners and male writers who never previously read say anything by Jane Austen or seen the earlier adaptations being critical of a female star because she's not showing enough flesh and is obsessed with Austen's works and literature of that era in general and keeps on wanting to make changes because she's so passionate about it.

Yeah, it certainly reads as a smear on him. They've taken things, which I've no doubt are half truths (probably spends most of his free time on set gaming, disagrees with writing choices for character and trying to make changes in line with how he's meant to be, was more amicable with writer who agreed, wanted to reduce the shirtless scenes) and then twisted them all to make his legitimate complaints appear to be him being difficult for the sake of it.
Little wonder he walked. Couldn't have been a happy set if the showrunner wouldn't listen. To suggest it was impossible for women to work with him then... yeah, smear job.

I am totally ******* unsurprised that someone affiliated with them would try to make a hit piece like this.
If literally a single actor, director or backroom staff over dozens of movies and TV shows had said that Cavill was a hateful person to work for in any way, it would make the anonymous report far more believable. However, thats the reverse of reality as, in fact everyone loves the guy and no-one has a bad thing to say so that makes this single anonymous story far less believable, and thats why so many people are called poop on this story.
Its almost the same as if an anonymous story appearing saying Keanu Reeves is actually a massive misogynist - everyone would call BS on that too - so I'm not surprised that the overwhelming vast majority of people are doing the same over the Cavill "story".

People have said the same about a whole host of ****** people at some point in time. Everyone loved Joss Whedon at one point in time for example. Let's face it people are not doing it for the reasons you are claiming at all, they're doing it because of existing prejudices against the show. I just think it's silly to comment so confidently on someone you don't know and couldn't possibly know about.
That's the thing. It's not unheard of for Studio's or writer's to use such means to get some gossip and rumours out there.
Lucas Film (Pablo I think) was deep in bed with Rewriting Ripley when they were attacking fans etc.
They got it out there and now probably got some sympathy veiws coming from the crazy cat people.
Blood Origns is laterally out in a few days and there's zero interest. (I had to check that)
