I think its great. Simon sure knows how to run the show. I for one, look forward to seeing what the twins do everyweek and I think Simon has made the point that for your favourite act to stay in the show you MUST vote for them. Its a no brainer really.

Simon could make money out of a burnt out car in a grassy verge somewhere so I am sure he could rake it in with the Twins should they win. As for people saying they wont sell any records, what about Aqua, Bros, Mc Hammer. All of them couldn't sing for ****. They just rapped, shouted, talked thier way through the charts. I think the twins could do well.

Hell even Mr Blobby had a few charts toppers if im not mistaken.

I have not voted for anyone at anytime.

Simon knows what he is doing. He wouldn't be worth £112 million if he didn't.

Edit: SEVEN, you might what to change that post. Swear word on the video title.

The show is a sham. We stopped watching 3-4 weeks ago. Then we saw the papers about john and Edward meeting Lou and Simon before the show even started and tonight just goes to prove it.

The whole I hate the twins and lou loves them was all made up to make good TV which had backfired as a lot of people are turning their TV sets to a different channel.

I think it's a shame that Lucie has gone, but I don't think anyone has ever won after being in the bottom two. It's all about money for Simon and if an act isn't getting votes then they won't sell albums either, or at least not enough for SyCo to care. I doubt he bases it on voting figures for a single week either, it's very likely that he has seen the percentages for every week.

As far as the twins are concerned, he wants the extra media attention and viewers associated with them still being on the show. I've said it before, they'll be kicked off when they've served their purpose. I wouldn't be surprised if that happened in the next couple of weeks if they're not getting as many votes any more, but keeping them in over Lucie means they get more free publicity.

This pretty much. It isn't like he hasn't weighed up the options based on other factors.

Atm I'm only watching some of the X Factor performances on Youtube because I cba with all the adverts on ITV so I'll probably watch even less of it now because Lucie was the main one I watched.

Annoying as it is, I can see why Simon did it... dollah signs in his eyes.

Firstly, the music market is already saturated with female artists, having to put Lucie up against Leona/Alexandra/La Roux/Pixie Lott/et al would be a more difficult job. As such, Simon wants a male to win, also keeping the alternating pattern that has come about (Ward, Lewis, Jackson, Burke).

Surprise, surprise, all of Simon's acts are male. Lucie is a better singer than Jamie, and on the same level as Danyl imo. Olly is very niche though, and seems to have a huge fan base. Lucie also trumps Stacy/Jedward/Lloyd, so by removing her, and keeping acts that are weaker than his 3, he puts himself in to a more likely position of winning.

It's not any of the above that annoys me though, it's more than Lucie is clearly a very good singer, and has had her chance urinated on by the money-grubbing ****er. It will knock her confidence, and she seemed genuinely sweet.

That said, I never vote (not wasting my money on this crap), and will continue to watch as it is really bubblegum for the eyes and makes for a get-together in the lounge on a Sat night.

i think simon did the right thing last night, public vote just didn't like Lucie

Not so, the voting system is flawed.

Just because I vote for one person doesn't mean I don't like the others, but there is no 2nd fav, 3rd fav, etc. option, and people don't want to shell out cash making votes for ALL the acts they like.

She was also assumed to be safe, so many people would have voted for other people not as strong as her, thinking she'd still get through.

I think the voting should change to be who you think is the worst.

The public simply didn't vote enough to keep her in, simple as that.
Personally I believe it should go to public vote every week anyway.

What gets me isn't the public voted her out, its what Simon Cowell said and then done.

Before the final songs, he SPECIFICALLY SAID that "I'll forget the pass performances and vote on last night's performance alone".

When it comes to the voting, he said "I'll let the public decide"......WTF...he made no mention on the performances. Why doesn't he do what he is paid to do, be a judge.

Surely him taking it to the public is being a Judge?

The show is about who will sell records, let's make the assumption that if you vote to keep them in, you might buy their record.

John and Edward had more votes, meaning more people would possibly buy their record.

I do agree with Simon when he said 'I'd rather see the boys again', because they DO bring more entertainment than she did, no matter if he LIKES them or not, he KNOWS they are entertaining.

The right person didn't go last night out of all of them, but I think the right out of the bottom two went. Her ridiculous shouting in parts of the song that isn't singing it's squealing, and the constant vibrato **** when she sings annoyed me.

Lloyd should have gone, however.

Simon is a smart guy, he knows any potential backlash from this will be short lived, Jedward is keeping X factor in the papers. I agree get rid of Lloyd, and Joe - he's always doing that vibrato wobbly voice thing whatever it is, very annoying.

YEs, i realise that the boys will probably get more sales, but when he put it to the public vote, he doesn't know who got more votes.

He said he'll vote out the person who didn't perform. He didn't do that, he never said the Boys are better. He said he'll let the public decide.

That would be an incorrect assumption though. The twins are only really going to be popular on TV. The public aren't interesting in listening to them, they want to watch them. I do think, like has been said, they could possibly have a chance in childrens TV. Any career in music they have will be extremely short lived.

The problem with having a public vote with any TV programme is that the British public will vote for the underdogs or the ridiculous.

Lets face it, the public are idiots. They would rather watch Jordon getting another boob job than find out current events in the news. Give them a choice, they will choose the stupid option.

Joe - I don't think he will make it to final 3
Lloyd - put him out of his misery and get rid
Stacey - she won't win, she's a good singer but doesn't have the X Factor
Jedward - they will probably go for Christmas No1 whether they win or not
Olly - potential winner
Danyl - too obvious to win now but will probably get to final 3 with shouty voice
Jamie - final 3

This series has been a bit of a let down, I have missed the last 3 sat shows and caught up online and tbh felt like I didn't really miss anything :/ poor song choices all round I think.

BB x

Don't be like that. I assumed you cared because you took the time to post. :(

Sorry that came across wrong.

I like the show and liked Lucie but I don't know them personally and do find the twins entertaining.

Forget who else is on and just picture them on stage by themselves they are quite fun.

It's clearly not a talent show anymore but the judges bitching and the tension of Sunday night is great. Lucie got the lowest votes so there you go she deserved to go.

Yes he did say this and it annoyed me last week (as much as I can be annoyed this series) when my fav Rachael was turfed out when the wee blond guy coughed his way through his performance. Based on that performance alone he should have gone. But this is great for the ratings as it was last year when that husky voiced lass got the boot midway.

Keep phoning for your favs guys and gals as you never know :p

PS I reckon Sky+ has saved me about 10 hours of my life :D thanks SKY best TV invention of modern times.

I disagree there. The voting system works pretty well in my eyes. You vote, as stated last week by Simon, for the act you want to STAY IN. Granted most people will only vote once per week, but not all will vote for their favourite act due to them thinking they are safe because they are good. Its all about voting for the act/s you want to stay in. Nothing hard to understand about that.

If I voted, which I dont. I would vote everyweek for Olly just because he is fantastic. Good moves and he puts a good performance into whatever song he sings.

I hope the twins go far. They are very entertaining and as the title of the show says 'X-factor' not 'Great voice but just stand there factor'

The twins have a certain x-factor about them. The style of the clothes they wear, the crotch down to the knees, the hair. Its all brilliantly done.

If Simon did base the 'decision' on the performance the previous night then the right act went through. The song Lucy sang was rubbish. I like her and she has great voice but that song was just a sympathy song. 'This is me' or whatever it was called. The boys did a good version of the Ghostbusters. Very entertaining and even Simon said it suited them. The Sing off or whatever its called last night Lucy, again was poor. Like someone already mentioned on here. Too much vibrato and needlessly emphasing the high notes. The boys got stuck in and got into the crowd and even one did that somersault thing at the end.. its all about putting in the performance and they did. She didnt. Bottom line.:)

You say the show says 'X-Factor' yet the twins don't have any factor, at all.

lol seriously!

The boys did a good version of the Ghostbusters.

A good version! How was it good in any way? The can't dance, sing or perform. If you like watching two young lads make fools of themselves then great. I think it's tragic that they are being used when they clearly think they've got a chance of winning!
