They should have voted for everyone they wanted in.

Contestants need the votes regardless of how good they are, and she didn't get them. End of really. The public spoke.

Oh well. We'll do it all again next week :D

The judges are judges for a reason, their supposed to spot talant...that is what the show is about isnt it? talent? well tbh none of the judges could spot talent as long as they have a hole in their butt !
 
Those two guys get people talking about xfactor, and Simon knows this. Keeping them in keeps ratings up. That's prob why he did what he did. Shame since Lucie was quite clearly better.
 
It's nothing to do with talent or tactics (do you really think Simon cares if one of his own acts wins?) - it's all about the money.

That just killed the show for me - they either leave everything to the public vote and ditch the pointless judges, or the judges do their jobs and vote for the best singer.

I'm sure Simon mean to say that "It's a singing competition", but was distracted by the sound of all that money falling into his bank account from the poor saps who vote.

Yeah.. might as well just have that lad from down the street come on and do a stupid jig and talk down the mic win the show.

I don't care if the public spoke, Simon had the power to end it but didn't due to being a coward.
 
what if the public voted for who they wanted out?

I'd bet my last pound that the twins would have gone then.

Reality check, Lucie was a much better talent that the Twins, no question.

I'd urge that everyone vote the twins now so that Simon has to deal with them, now that would be entertaining.
 
That marks the end of my X-Factor viewing.

I agree she was in the bottom 2 because of the least number of votes however there are a number of factors to that, like someone said she had a good performance and people may have voted to save the weaker performances and as a result Lucie was in the bottom.

However it should have been a no brainer for Simon if he honestly believed the best should go through, or at least the one with potential to grow, even he said over the last couple of weeks Lucie had found a direction as a relevant artist. He voted that way purely to be controversial and keep the public talking about the show..

All I hope now is the next 3 acts to go are his and J&E win the show.. the winner normally has an Xmas number one which is worth a nice few £'s, if the J&E stage show wins it I wonder how many CD's they'll sell.
 
Absolute carnage on Betfair. People trying buy money by backing JaE to go and laying Lucy at massive prices.

I can't believe all the whinging on here. Simon said himself that he expected JaE to go if it went to deadlock. I just think some people are taking the show a tad too seriously.

Like Simon said, neither of the acts will win it anyway so why not let the public decide.

I will not be watching anymore. I can't bare to watch the braindead duo go on when they have lost so many good singers instead. What a load of old pony.

Simon deserves a slap. He did nothing but whinge about them for weeks, you would have thought he would relish the opportunity to get shot of them. However it really is about what makes him the most cash. It is for that reason that I will no longer be watching or voting.
 
My only fear now that Simon's acts will suffer from the backlash. He's acted like a complete ****** but his acts don't deserve to take the blunt of the rebellion.
