No, its not opinion. A male falsetto is unusual and is a natural raw talent that not many have, as a countertenor he has a natural talent the same as anyone with a tenor/baritone or any other recognised vocal range. The opinion arrives on whether you like it or not, and that it up to the individual. It has no bearing on his actual talent.

So do you apply this reasoning to James Blunt?
 
I don't blame her for trying to get in on all avenues - it's what she wants and all exposure is good exposure :)

Although I don't think she's particularly entertaining or a good singer, I can see her being famous; in a world of paris hilton and katie price types- can you not see this happening also?

May I add to my last sentence by making the imperative point that if this does indeed happen - it would be bloody awful :(

Katie is a different kind of ***** (not sure if its classed as a swear but if you cross the words horse and more). Paris was rich and stupid, knew celebs and doesnt mind sucking tubes on tv *wink wink* and Jordan got her baps out every week and was also stupid (or act stupid as their publicists like to say...). Katie wants to be taken seriously, looks like a foot and is already hated. I can see her being a tabloid darling for a month or 2 until even they realise theres nothing interesting about her, also the token cover single that gets slated upon release.
 
It's nothing new seeing a contestant who was a backing singer in a previous series. Alexandria Burke was a regular backing singer on the X-Factor prior to her participation.

Yeh saw it earlier on in the series, tried using it as a sob story saying she was bullied all the time until a few old classmates came out to point out she was the one doing the bullying.
 
Hardly a gyppo, according to that article she was less than 2 years old when they stopped travelling, hardly having to "overcome her life of hardship as a traveller" at all.
 
This girl sure knows how to make connections.
Rather than trying to work in front of cameras, maybe she should work behind the scenes, networking on behalf of other wannabes. She seems very good at this. She would do well, if she were an agent, perhaps.

The crazy thing is that it is evident that the general public dislike her. In spite of this, the record execs do not want to lose her and continue to back her.

Whether you like it or not, Katie Price and Paris Hilton are great sales people. They know how to sell themselves.

To market and sell yourself on the basis that you are famous for being famous, is an incredible skill and a VERY hard sell.

This is hardly surprising considering that the single she collaborated on in the US has received rave reviews. They are not stupid, they will keep her in until she is tied to them and their roadshow thing they do.

She has drive, ambition and a modicum of talent, all in all enough to make money for someone and after the Diana Vickers debacle SyCo are not going to make the same mistake twice.

Part of me actually quite admires Katie. She's got balls, that's for sure! :)
