'Miss, he stole my pencil case and wont give it back'
So glad we have a happy ending - Phate reunited with his £450 phone.
And a picture to record the happy moment...

Rofl cracked me up.
"Hello? OcUK, YEAH I GOT MY PHONE BACK"
A normal person would not use physical violence. The people who suggested it clearly had no idea of the working environment.
Now the guy has been dragged over the coals on this I'm sure that's really made his day.
You've made an enemy out of someone who was kind enough to loan you something of theirs. Added stress to whatever else he's got on his plate......
I'm not saying for one second that this guy was right in his actions but it was really easy for you to resolve this today without all this....

got the phone back. Basically my boss turned round and told him to
give it back before it goes firthsr. Pulled me to one side, had a chat, said it was pathetic, and a waste of his time. I said i agreed and warned him that i would esculate it so i did. Boss said fair enough, and thats the end of it.
The other guy is still getting his wrists slapped (hopefully for being so immature) lol
you seriously told on him?! how old are you anyway? if I took that to my manager, she'd laugh in my face! are you seriously that spineless that you can't get something back when you KNOW who's got it and why?!
the way I see this:
you borrowed something
you lost it
you ordered a new one
you forgot it and can't get it back for a while
guy at work gets annoyed
I'd have been annoyed, too, and made a mental note to never lend you anything again ever. your reaction after leaving the card in the car should've been "damn, oh well it's only £12, I'll get him another", not telling him to wait after he's already had to.
£12 isn't a lot when you consider what it could've bought you:
your own memory card reader so you don't have to borrow one again
the respect of your boss
