Looking for new people at an IT security vendor to join the tech presales team.

*edited* they’ve changed the job ad so post updated to reflect

For those who may be thinking what sort of job is this, very high level overview is you will become a technical SME and work alongside sales providing expertise on the technical side of things relating to sales opportunities.

This can be anything from an initial meeting with a customer to talk with them about their problems, giving product overview presentations, demonstrations, right through to running proof of concepts where you’ll install things within the customers environment for them to try out.

Location can be anywhere in the UK, with some job related and expensed travel as required.

As always, previous experience in this area would be nice, more so on the pre-sales side than security, but not essential.

Drop me a trust message if interested with any questions, we’re a large well known vendor with market leading products.

We've got a position on my team for an IT application support specialist for Leica Biosystems, the market leader in histology and neuropathology equipment. The role involves around 70% national travel with some rather tasty international stuff too!

We need someone with the following skillset:

- Knows what mirth is and how to use it
- can read and interpret HL7 messaging
- ideally a scientist with a tertiary IT qualification or an IT person with a biology qualification

Role would suit someone who's fed up of the 9-5 grind in the lab and likes technology and wants to drastically reduce the cancer diagnosis waiting times for patients. If anyone is interested in knowing more about it let me know on here or PM!

ps, our yearly kick off meeting this year was a week in Monte Carlo, all expenses paid

pss, if you're in the south of the UK you'll get some serious browny points

Hi all,

Sales Engineer Vacancy for an Electronics company in Whiteparish, just outside Salisbury

My employer, Lascar Electronics, is looking for a Sales Engineer to drive sales of their data loggers, panel meters, touchscreen displays and custom electronics design services. The primary skills you will need are sales skills, but you will also need some technical ability to handle the technical aspects of selling our electronics products. If you have any questions, feel free to post them in the thread and I will do my best to answer them.

You can apply via the e-mail given at the bottom of the job ad. It would be helpful if you could mention you saw the vacancy on Overclockers in your application.

Regards

I need Data Analysts with strong SQL skills in London - permanent work
I need DevOps Engineers in London (AWS/Kubernetes/Docker) - contract work
I need Java developers in London (kafka streaming on AWS) - contract work

These are all for tier 1 companies - please trust me if interested.

(Yes I work in recruitment, but have been posting on here for many years before, these are genuine, very good opportunities for someone.)

If that first one was midlands or remote you'd have had a CV on your way :D

I've still got lots and lots of roles open in Norwich, London, the USA and Canada. Developers, Atlassian experts and supporting functions. We've just introduced unlimited holidays, voted one of the top 50 small companies to work for in the Sunday Times and last night were ranked the 5th fastest growing tech company in the UK by Deloitte. See if anything suits here:

Does unlimited holidays mean i'd never have to work? :D

Heh no. It means we don't keep track of your holiday other than ensuring you take the minimum of 28. You still have to request and have holiday approved based on a balance of what you'd like and what the business needs are.

Apply now and let us know you can't start for a while. Worthwhile doing the exploratory stuff early. I've taken on people who didn't join until six months later at their request. If you're good enough we'd rather have a conversation ASAP.

Yup - Trust by default. It’s tough to get through the hiring process so we’re pretty confident that at the end of it that you’re right for us and we’re right for you. Given all that we’d be pretty dumb to not trust you from day 1. It would stifle you and make you less productive which in turn is worse for us. Better to empower you to be free to do your best and flourish. You’ll enjoy it more hopefully and we’ll reap the rewards of your awesome work. Classic win-win
