** THERMAL GRIZZLY - CHAMPIONSHIP THERMAL PASTE **

^^ Good choices all!!! ;)

Yeah it comes with but no need. Just blob on heat with hairdryer for afew seconds. Credit card to spread done!!!

Awesome thanks for the reply 8Pack.

I ordered Kryonaut even though I have Hydronaut.

Still haven't used the Hydronaut I bought last week but I'll keep it for changing the TIM on my HTPC and use Kryonaut for my main rig :D

Every time i have seen this applied in pics or videos its seems very thick but that seems a big waste of paste since its not cheap.
I dont know what happened to overclockers they were suppose to make a video for applying this paste.

I have reapplied mine 3 times now as it seems the temps are up on my AS5 that I had on it previously? I wonder if this is due to this being thicker, hence the longer times for it going off etc....

Not too fussed, in the heat we had last week and the fans running at 700rpm (near silent) CPU hit 58c after 5 hours of gaming so good enough for me :) Still not as good as the H100i but after having it for several months and the pump dying, RMA'd it and will sell it on when it comes back. Air is good enough for me atm.

Disappointed, the applicators are too soft and the paste is too thick. Ended up just using a blob.

Exactly this. Got two applicators. They are made of rubber and the paste is so thick that they are next to useless.

Also disappointed that my max temps on my [email protected] with the H110i GT have gone from 70C to 67C. So not bad, but I was expecting more I guess.

At least it is a massive tube that should last well for a few years. Now waiting for the HG10 to be released so I can water cool my 980Ti!

Sounds like this stuff is a nightmare to use then glad i haven't ordered yet but hows the temps guys are they any better as there's mixed reviews good and bad ?

I guess the applicators need to be redesigned so they are made of stiff plastic rather than soft rubber.

to be fair a 3 degree drop is a lot!

Yeah the drop is relative. If I had compared it to AS5 (which I normally use) I would have been left quite impressed. As I have no idea how good or bad the Corsair pre-applied stuff is I don't know what I am comparing the TG to. One can presume Corsair don't use the 'best' thermal compound due to cost...or maybe they do ;)
