I take it the without involving (VPN etc) those of us are still waiting for the UK release?
I thought the release date was 25th or has it been pushed back?

All i am getting in steam is "Pre-Load complete, unreleased"

it changed to the 28th

just use spotflux vpn and activate it, steam aren't likely to ban you unless you are using VPN's to get another regions prices but then again people have been doing origin mexico almost since origin existed and they haven't banned anyone as far as I've heard.
 
I have changed my verdict on this game. Before I was 'not as bad as some people are saying'. Now I am 'It is a very good game'. I have really enjoyed it so far.

No idea what ****ed reviewers off so much. I don't see half of the complaints that most of them came up with!...and that Kotaku review banging on about closing windows is complete nonsense
 
How does it run? got this ready to unlock tonight and looking forward to trying it. From what I read about the ps4 and xbox version they drop into the single digits at times so im curious how it holds up on pc.

I am not the best to comment on this, as I don't keep an eye on FPS at all, but I have noticed a few places that it has slowed down a bit, but it is hard to tell tbh as it is hardly an all-action game with lots happening on screen. Imo, FPS isn't particularly important in a game like this anyway. I am on a 7950.

Agree with a few others here in that I really don't understand all the bad reviews and hate it's getting (do negative reviews on big titles bring more hits/views these days?). I've played 2-3 hours and I'm quite enjoying it, I'm playing 'ghost' style on master difficulty and it's already been quite a challenge at times. Usually I struggle to complete SP first person games but the story and game play so far has sucked me in.

The only downside at the moment is that I'm getting a few stutters when entering some areas, not sure exactly whats causing it but I had to knock quite a few settings down which was a little disappointing. I don't care for exact FPS either, as long as it's smooth it's good for me.
 
One thing- I started on Master in the end(I think you have to tbh) but now I wish I had started on custom with focus turned off, though I can just not use it I suppose(I barely have anyway). A question though- With focus turned off, can you still tell where traps etc are, and when safes are wired?

Think you can turn focus mode off even if you started on the default Master Thief difficulty.

Is that what it does? I'm just going off what i saw when i unlocked via vpn and played it for 2 hours, so not 100% sure. I will probably start again from the start myself, and then choose custom Master Thief difficulty instead of the default one.
