Thief

pretty good game tbh not sure why it got mixed reviews , doing all side missions i think in chapter 2 or 3 atm. playing maxed out just without ssaa mostly over 100 fps or 120 always good for 120 hz screen .

also noticed that it uses more then 2 gig video ram (2.4 and above), in few occasions was over 3.5 used , maybe it just stores textures on it or something.

I find my self struggling to have any motivation to play this.
I think I'm on chapter 5 at the dukes manor.

every level is boring and the world doesn't feel alive. all the stupid zones to get to your mission are annoying as hell.

this game would be great as an open world game like skyrim on a mini scale but as a corridor game it's bloody awful

metro last light has about the same level of exploration and freedom as this does...

everywhere looks pretty much the same as well which gets old fast

Pretty much sums it up for me so far. Got as far as finishing Blossoms whore house and packed it in. Was`nt really enjoying it. At least I hav`nt wasted my money. :D

I still can't find Basso to do his jobs... I need some cash to afford the wrench tool!

Apparently the jobs that I have been doing are known as 'client jobs', so there must be a fair bit of extra stuff to do.

Edit- I think the game mentioned something about him not being there for some reason so I am sure he will turn up again.

You need to do mission 3 or 4 to rescue him :D

If anyone is having SweetFX problems, it should look like this in the Win32 folder anyway ;)

Yep seeing highs of over 2.7GB - if you have 2GB Vram or less you may have problems with higher settings but those tweak guides should come in handy.

I have a 7970 with 3GB vRam and an i7 920 @3.6 completely maxed out and It is very smooth indeed. I do get low of 31 in the dock area by the pub because of all the fog though but I can handle that.

Most other places is a steady 50 - 60fps so far but the dock area does make things hover around 40-45 a lot.

Thought i'd try the 64bit version and I get

" D3D11CreateDeviceAndSwapChain failed "

32bit works fine and 64bit worked yesterday ( SweetFX removed as test )

4670k
8GB Ram
GTX 770 DCII 2GB

All max, no SSA. 1080p

I get this annoying issue where the game runs at 60fps, but when a NEW sound effect plays for the first time, or an NPC says something, the game will stutter for a split-second. I.e. it drops from 60 to 58.5 or something, and then resumes normal fluid frame rate until a new sound plays. By new sound I mean a sound that has never played before; repeat sounds of the same type do not cause a stutter.

I kind of have this same problem in a few games when using V-SYNC, but definitely Unreal 3 Engine games.

It looks, sounds and runs well but I'm not getting that vibe when playing it like I did with the old games, the atmosphere just isn't there, its that same atmosphere that you get from the original series, Skyrim and Fallout and they just haven't captured it here, very disappointing

Also whats the point in hiding in those cupboards you only seem to be able to burst out causing a lot of noise, seems very odd or am I missing something

Got a strange problem. Im literally stuck on a pipe. i can't go down on the ledge and move on? Pressed all the buttons but hes not moving? heres a pic :
