Hi guys, I'm alright now, thanks for the concern. Things got a bit much and I went a bit squiffy last night... I don't remember all of it. Sorry to have worried you all.

Just feel like my life is a mess at the moment. Couldn't sleep, had a bit of a panic attack while overthinking everything, didn't go to work this morning, have been cooped up in my bedroom all day.

I do vaguely remember staring blankly at loads of pills downstairs wondering to myself how many it would take... Fortunately I don't think I wanted to do anything about it.

You're supposed to put the milk in first and pour in tea brewed in a teapot from loose leaves.

The purpose of putting the milk in first is so that the heat shock of pouring the tea into your fine bone china tea cup is reduced.

If you're not from 1790 (and you're not my Nan) and you are using a porcelain mug however, you may as well put the milk in last so it is easier to judge the amount of milk you are adding.

But I can't hate people who put the milk in first. Because that is the proper old time British way.
 
Well, I have applied for a job as an apprentice engineer (job title sounds like a bit of an oxymoron to me but I'd be cutting gears etc) at a precision machine shop.

Fingers crossed on this one. Will be a massive change of tack from working with computers and software support my whole adult life. Basically starting over.

Got pulled for speeding... 70MPH going into a 40MPH limit (still dual carriageway) and didn't slow down quickly enough. Also apparently the car isn't in my name so I guess the previous keeper didn't send off the V5 so I'll ping him an email to do that, and I had a brake light out (which I knew about) :eek:

Despite that I somehow got off with a friendly chat and told to go on my way. Probably because it was 3AM I guess!

Bought some duck and hoisin rice pringle things, they are horrible. Also bought some tesco chinese style dips to go with them, also horrible... Dips in the bin, crisps 'donated' to the parents. :p

I've been very lucky with getting caught speeding and just getting warnings. I've been pulled over for going 50 in a 30 before as well but it was once again at about 3AM on a very wide straight bit of road.
