Is this the list of convictions for one of the lads at the airport ??

Maybe he got off lightly with a bruise to his head.
 
Context is everything, but laws are laws.. Personally the way that career criminal beat him, I wouldn't blame him for being full of anger and adrenaline and not thinking straight.. Most males who have been in a fight understand the red mist. The crim got what he deserved...

That said, as a police office your meant to be above all that how ever hard it is override your instincts..

Do I blame him no, should he have done it no.. I can imagine I've missed pages and pages of arguments from both side of the argument who can't agree.

It's the guy who complains about criminals and immigrants... and, ironically, who is also a criminal that as now run away to another country to skip a court hearing.

None other than TR himself.

I seem to remember when people were saying the laws in question were likely to get used for things other than just "anti terror" the cry was "you're lefties" or "no they won't".
It's much the same reason a lot of people were against ID cards as it was obvious the card would become required to carry at some point once it was introduced.

Our colleagues on Radio 5 Live have just spoken to Colin, who works on Hart Street in Southport.

He saw a man in a face mask refusing to pay a taxi driver before fleeing the scene. A few moments later, he got a call from one of his employees telling him to leave the shop "immediately".

He says he saw young girls “bleeding”. He called police and told them to “get here now”.

“Ambulances started arriving then, it was just mayhem,” he says. “It’s the worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life.”

He says the children were inside when the incident occured, and the man entered the building.

Neighbours were trying to help, including an adult who was injured, he adds.

someone sent "the plague" to a French Town Hall the other day, although still requires a second confirmation


The suspicious letter was addressed to the town hall of Roubaix, in the north of France outside Lille, for the attention of the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin.

It was unstamped and had undisclosed 'inscriptions' on its back, rousing suspicions among workers at a sorting centre in Longiv, in the Côte-d'Or region.

When they opened it they discovered that it was filled with a black powder and a letter containing racist insults, French media reports.

Preliminary tests revealed the powder contained a 'slight positivity for the plague' - the disease that killed millions of people in Europe during the Middle Ages.

I grew up in Southport and worked on Sussex Road (only one road over from Hart St) for almost a decade. Family still there, from what I gather they are all safe.

Tragic what has happened. Targeting children, or involving them in your problems is sick.

Hearing on the radio all these locations I know so well is surreal.
 
They usually claim they are locals..

Like that guy "from Newcastle"

I lived in Newcastle since 2000 and would never say "I'm from Newcastle"

I'm from the place where I was born, I just live in Newcastle

Migrants have been housed in the town for years and years and this happened before as far as I know. Just being a migrant isn't a precursor for this sort of event happening.

Edit: guy that's been arrested is from Banks. 17 year old. Doesn't sound like a migrant, as housing migrants in Banks would be cruel.

Offender is 17 years old apparently, from a nearby village.

Sounds like a lot of BS flying around on social media, so we need to wait for it to die down before the actual correct information gets out.
