This is why people are losing respect for the police...

One possible justification is that police officer had just been repeatedly punched in the back of the head. His judgement is likely to have been clouded and he may have been concussed. He may not even have fully understood that the thug had been incapacitated by the taser.
Who is to say. But his actions certainly seemed sporadic, jumping from the one unsecured individual to then have a pop at the other, who by that stage has decided the game was up had sat down with his hands in the air.

Just seeing that it appears that Tommy Robinson has not appeared in the court as he was meant to today, and may have left the country.
It won't be enacted until October.

Mr Justice Johnson issued a warrant for Robinson’s arrest but ordered that it not be carried out “until early October” to allow Robinson time to indicate that he would attend the next hearing voluntarily or to apply to “set aside” the warrant.

Mr Payter said: “We understand he failed to co-operate with a port stop and search. The implication is he was attempting to leave the country and therefore was not intending to attend this hearing this morning.”

He added that Robinson was reminded of Monday’s hearing before being released on unconditional bail at 10pm on Sunday, but that it is now believed he “left the UK last night and there was nothing to prevent him from doing so”.

Talk about a big brother police state, using anti terror powers to remind you that you have court the next day is scary.

I think you need to visit more forums for some perspective on what actual far-left views are, just as some lefties need to stop calling everything right-wing 'far right'.

He had no idea the lad has been taser'd, the woman police officer took a massive gamble with her shot from the back of the room and it paid off, I doubt she had time to shout " taser taser taser" which is standard procedure so he would have not know it had been deployed.

When the lad fell from the taser, the officer had his back turned after managing to get him off him after a relentless attack to the back of his head. He turned and the attacker was on the floor, He had is own taser pulled and both hands were occupied, he had no clue what could happen in the next few moments so he used his only available free limbs.

You all have to understand these officers are trained to "Shoot" potentially kill if the necessary arose, If the officer in question didn't have his taser in hand his next move would be for the glock.

Theres few times where an example can be made of thugs / hooligans and these videos should be used as a tool for the police to show and say " **** about and find out" we should not tolerate anyone assaulting a police officer like this, or anyone for that matter. And if you do this it is the first form of punishment you will receive as well as lengthy jail sentence.

Policing in this country has gone soft, from just stop oil being allowed to block major highways up to out and out looting during riots. There's too many communities and gangs roaming around with zero respect and zero fear of consequence for their actions.

Have a look at the video in this link and check who is tasering the lad on the floor and who then does the kicking and stomping.

If you refuse to co-operate at a port i'm guessing the arrest is classed as anti terror because of the location and the legislation that allows for the arrest...

As for "using it to remind you of court the next day", that seems like a fairly normal thing and probably sensible, what with the fact they'll have run your name and other details through the system and it will have reported any outstanding cases, and if you're at a port of entry/exit there is a good chance you're looking at leaving the country...

Back in the "good old days" the police IIRC confiscated your passport if you had an outstanding court appearance, or would require you not to leave the country as part of the bail conditions.

It's not, it's an over reach and misuse of legislation to silence someone the state / police doesn't want uncomfortable truths to be told.
Uncomfortable truths?

At least one of the witnesses in the case involving that kid had contact with Yaxley-Lennon prior and all the witnesses together put forward statements that fell apart under the slightest scrutiny which clearly has annoyed the manchild greatly having lost to an actual child.

I think that is what as happened. Though it is scary that on any criminal record check a terrorist crime will appear, just for refusing to hand over a password.

The law is assuming whatever you're suspected of you've done, just for defending your privacy.

Bearing in mind they had no official reason or suspicion of a crime to stop him.

I suspect in this case they didn't want to bring any attention to the random stop.

No the female police officer tasered him while he was busy assaulting the male officer. All I see from that linked video is the male officer pointing his taser before kicking the thug.

I have quite a poor view of some police recently. But in this instance I'm behind these officers including the male officer who kicked the thug. They had just survived a brutal assault and we can't judge his actions by our own standards in the cold light of day sitting in our safe homes.

The female officer can be seen tasering him at 1:18 here:

Ah, Yes I see it now.

yea because his eyes stopped working...

some of the people in this thread would try to justify it if he kerb stomped the guy and killed him
If you had been repeatedly punched in the back of the head by someone who looks like he knows how to throw a punch, do you think your eyes would work properly?
