the clips were a freaking nightmare to get on after the sink was installed, i really recommend that you place those on the sink before you lay it down to install.

Very nice, what are the noise levels like?

nice one Eerazer! Silver Arrow are pretty very good but shame about fan clips thought!
Sold out of the special price Silver Arrows, with all the talk of buying splitter cables this one seems very similar to the Silver Arrow and comes with its own splitter cable
just how many fans can you run off one fan header
This splitter cable https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-031-AK seems to have a molex connector as well, I don't know the technicalities but wouldnt something short out if you are connecting to the molex power supply and the m/b fan header which is another power supply at the same time or is it wired so the molex boosts the fan header somehow
Yeah, off topic but i've been awake for about 40 hours at this point so give me a break
It's literally the first result on Google.
oh and the side went on like the SA wasn't even there. just slided on, no problems. very happy with it. temps are excellent too, just overclocked it back to 3.84 and ran prime for 5 minutes, temps didnt get higher than 43c on coretemp and on my asus fanxpert it said 50c.
very nice indeed.
i purchased this splitter also Akasa AK-CB002 PWM Fan Splitter Cable [AK-CB002]
so i have the 2 cpu fans and 1 top fan running off that. they are all at the same speed, regulated by the cpu temp on asus fanxpert
But the CPU fan header gives out a current to power the fan as well as controlling it doesnt it, thats what I has querying about combining the power from the PSU and CPU fan header togetherWhat that cable does is power the fans from the PSU through the molex connection. The header cable is there for fan speed control based on CPU usage.
It is the same power, think of it as coming from the same source along two different wires. The CPU header on some motherboards is relatively weak, hence the molex acts as an insurance that it does not get overloaded. But the CPU fan header gives out a current to power the fan as well as controlling it doesnt it, thats what I has querying about combining the power from the PSU and CPU fan header together
