I wonder if anyone will be looking at increased regulation of this sort of activity.

Being cold-hearted, this could be a very significant cost for the various countries involved.
I suppose it’s also invaluable practice for those services responding to it, as it must be difficult recreating his sort of practice via drills.

I was saying to my partner last night that I would 100% take some "medication" down with me on something like that so I could die peacefully if it came to it. Absolute nightmare fuel dying at the bottom of the ocean as you slowly suffocate. I kinda hope they died quickly from an incident.

It reminds me of a film I once watched where a group were in a similar situation and decided to end their lives only for rescuers to turn up when they were dying.

Maybe the fuel hasn't died and it has been the release of ballast that failed so they are still too heavily weighed down.

The taps are now being reported as being SOS.

No news yet on the US coast guard allowing the two British submersible companies to supply specialist equipment that they have ready.

Alright, how do you hammer out morse code 'dashes' by banging on a surface?

Dashes when done on something like a metal surface are done with a noticeable pause. So you go bang,bang,bang..bang....bang.....bang...bang,bang,bang.
