There's a lot you don't get though tbh. And no, I wouldn't. It's a text message, pretty much as impersonal as something can get.
In my experience its typically only done by women or homosexual males. I'm neither and feel no inclination to do it. It's meaningless.

"Just washed the dishes, lol xoxoxo"
That’s a very misogynistic viewpoint you have there

When you say to someone that you just picked something up, do you kiss them afterwards?

Absolutely if it's my wife and I've just come through the door, you're weird.

I'm sorry if it offends you but when me and my wife are leaving each other or just seeing each other after a day away from each other we have a little kiss and probably why we've been together 47 years.

I think its whats known by some as a conversational joiner or hook. To make an emotional connection with the other person.

Women do it a lot. I suspect that's why the trend as taken off.

For me I'd only do it with the girlfriend/wife and mother. If I did it to someone else I'd consider it was flirting.

I'd find that exhausting. Kissing one a other after every meaningless sentence?

I mean, I'm sure that can't be the only reason you're still together.
