** TODAY ONLY: GTX 1070 DELIVERED FOR £359.99 Inc. VAT !! **

I know its not the OCuk way but can you underclock a card like this to reduce heat and therefore fan noise?
I don't think you will notice the fan noise. Considering the fans will only spin up when you're gaming, even the quietest sounds from a game will drown out any noise from the fans on one of these GPUs.

My Palit GameRock is very, very quiet. Fans don't spin up until 55c and it's never gone above 40% fan speed (about 1100RPM). It's a bigger cooler but mine is overclocked quite high, so at stock I can't see this being loud.

I'm running this in a H440 with 3x120mm intake (7v) and a 140mm exhaust (also at 7v).

Thanks. I've ordered one. I guess if its not to my liking I can always return it within 14 days.

Fools and their money

Much better price for the 1070, £350 at launch would have been spot on. When the GTX 1080's hit £500 and below normality will have been restored. Price hikery is to rampant atm :p

wait a month or so they will be £300. then will be where they should have been in first place.

What makes you say this? Supply issues have pushed the price up for sure, but with the current state of the Pound how likely are prices to drop that much in a month? Can't see it myself, much as I'd love it to be the case.

I am feeling a small twinge of temptation I have to say :p

I'll wait a few months though I think :) I'm due a £350 loyalty bonus in October, so I'll see whats around then :)

This is certainly better value than a second hand 980ti at £300 though. No idea why people would pay that for one to be honest.

lets not do this ayy

next it will be brexit and everything basically we waiting for the newer 10 cards to come in so the " proper pricing " returns.they all cards will sit in the right pricing brackets levels they should have been.

which is £300 for a 1070 and £400-£450 for a 1080.

then again what we have learnt from this is the prices will be stupid regardless.i guess we will see when the new titan drops and the 1080 ti which should be at the 1080 now price but we know that aint going to happen.

realistically it should be

1070 £300 -£350
1080 £400 - £450
1080 ti £500-£600
titan £800 -£900

that was the basic old structure of pricing before the lets add this on and oh the pound went this or that and add any excuse to add a few hundred on LOL.

"Should be" is not the same as "will be" (your original statement).

As I suspected, wishful thinking.
