You really do need to work at your reasoning skills. It has so many broader benefits too... Capacity to bring more scrutiny on your sources for example.
Looks like it's worth saying again:
Hilarious that you consider that a objective source.
It's a long term thing. They could announce a ban on sales of handguns and semi-automatics, or whatever, and say any owned ones need to be handed in or decommissioned in, say, 10 years. Give people chance to get over it.last couple of shootings have all been with legally held firearms..dont see why this should be any different
the problem isnt the law, its that too many people already have guns thats its too late to do anything about it now..so they are now stuck with this problem
in this country the level of gun ownership was low and we knew who had them..so when the law changed they could do something about it
they cant do this in the States, so this is the new normal

They could do that if they wanted mass civil unrest
I mean how objective does a source need to be when they literally go through the entire process of buying a gun? The process of buying a gun isn't a subjective matter
it does for us...not for americans thoughSeems a better option than constantly seeing dead kids in schools.
How's this possible with California's strict gun laws?
Gun laws in California:
* castle doctrine
* open carry permitted
* concealed carry permitted
* no licence required to own a firearm
* vehicle carry permitted for handguns
* long guns not required to be kept securely when in transit
* firearm legislation enforced inconsistently across the state
* self defence is a valid reason for owning and bearing firearms
* no requirement to store firearms securely unless there is a chance that a child under 18 could gain access
California is considered the strictest state, believe it or not!
So the above is considered strict by US gun laws?
