Tomb Raider Thread

Running it maxed out and it looks wonderful, even the L'Oreal hair works well on NVidia, nice one AMD for not fudging it like PhysX.

Anyone else getting random crashes on latest BETA drivers? 314.07?

will revert back to older ones if this is the case.

Turn TressFX off, after the first 5 minutes it brings my FPS from 60 - 0 instantly, once I turned it off it worked fine again so it seems to be a bug. Getting pretty much 50-60fps on all settings including AA maxed (TressFX off though)

Lol wtf.

Tried to install the game using the disk, "You cannot install this game as it is not yet released". Yet I can preload now the key is in my Steam account?!?!

(I know I can unlock the downloaded content using a VPN, but I specifically bought a physical copy to avoid having to download the game on my utter crud internet).

Played the first little part of the game and its very good so far, looks great, sounds great and controls brilliantly with a 360 pad. Massive performance hit with TressFX on but playable with everything on high @ 1080p. 2500k, 8gb ram, 1gb 7850.

I went to the steam library and it allowed me to preload from there.

Yeah thats what I'm doing, but my line is only 2mb on a good day, and its a 9GB download :(.

The only reason I got the disk and not the digital key was to get the files and be able to install them :(

Arghhgahahsgjghsdwkejhsdkjgf!!!!

Managed to get the disk install to work using a VPN... and it turns out only 79% of the files are on the disk! There is still 1.8GBs that needs to be downloaded!!!

Buying the disk was a complete waste of time. Should have just stuck with a digital copy as I now wont be playing until tomorrow evening anyway.

Grrrr

Gone are the days of 3 disks in a box with a manual the size of The Return of the King (LOTR).

Good old days.
