!!! Now that could well be the greatest team ever.

I can't see a single weakness.

Gone for Alex and Lucio at the back as OP says they need to work well together, they had a lot of experience for Brazil a while back.

Not sure about my RB, nobody has particularly caught my eye of late. Maybe Puyol as with that lot in front of him he shouldn't need to get forward much.

From what I've seen this season.....

GK: Cesar (Inter)

RB: Maicon (Inter)
CB: Lucio (Inter)
CB: Puyol (Barca)
LB: Evra (Man Utd)

CM: Sneijder (Inter)
CM: Xavi (Barca)
CM: Fabregas (Arsenal)

RW: Messi (Barca)
CF: Rooney (Man Utd)
LW: Ronaldo (Madrid)

Subs:

Akinfeev (CSKA)
Pique (Barca)
Vidic (Man Utd)
Iniesta (Barca)
Busquets (Barca)
Higuain (Madrid)
Torres (Liverpool)

Ok some of the bench might not have done much this season but can hardly be left out

Totally agree with your squad though maybe switch out Cesar for Van der Sar.

Balotelli has heaps of potential but is meant to have a gash attitude. He's still a wait-and-see for me.

------------ Buffon
Johnson - Vidic - Chiellini - Clichy
Ronaldo - Essien - Iniesta - Messi
---------Torres - Rooney

Reina
Demichellis
Dunne
Fabregas
Montolivo
Drogba
Walcott

Didn't Balotelli storm of last night and throw his shirt away?

I saw something on SSN that said all the fans were giving him jip outside the stadium in his car as well.

Awesome on FM09 though, scored 40 for MU in one season :D

I reckon i'd probably go for a line-up like this.

-------------------Reina-------------------

Carragher--Carragher--Carragher--Carragher

----------------Mascherano----------------

Gerrard--------Gerrard--------Gerrard-------

------------Torres--------Torres-----------

Subs: Igor Biscan x 7

I thought liverpool were only a 2 man team, who are these other players :p

------------ Buffon
Johnson - Vidic - Chiellini - Clichy
Ronaldo - Essien - Iniesta - Messi
---------Torres - Rooney

Hes had a shocker this season
Ashley Cole has had a good season

You hear about him and the Milan shirt?

Was filmed wearing an A.C. Milan shirt :p :D

Went down well with the Inter fans ;)

seriously you have 2 brazilians in defence and you dont know of a right back? maicon or alves? 2 of the best in the world

Dani Alves? Are you kidding me?
He must be one of the most overrated players around. I could probably name 3 Spurs RBs I'd take ahead of him, lol :)

Maicon I simply haven't seen enough of.

errrrr clichy and walcott shouldnt be anywhere here not even the bench. surprising you have picked iniesta over xavi too and xavi isnt even in the team yet walcott is. i know some people have differing opinions, but walcott would have trouble doing keepy ups with a balloon, he has no control what so ever and scuffs 90% of passes, shots and crosses. i'd take balotelli over walcott any day.

bosingwa then, i know hes injured but he is a current player. alves is good, he has had some bad games of late but he adds so much to the team in terms of attacking. when defending his pace is very useful and shows strength too. he also has a cracking free kick, its just a pity that barcelona and brazil have so many choices when it comes to free kicks that he only gets a chance once in a blue moon.

I think Clichy is a quality wing back even if he hasn't shown it as much in the past year, the last good game he probably had was against Barcelona even if he only the best of a bad bunch. Evra is one of the best too and it was a toss-up with him, but Clichy won out since I wanted more team variation. Dani Alves is utter gash and I never even considered him.

As for Walcott, I wanted to include someone with raw pace (I was thinking of this more as the best functional team than listing off the best in the world) and I'm well aware his ball control isn't the best but he on his good days he can place it well enough. It was either him or Defoe and I don't really rate the latter as much, so Theo it was.

I don't really see much of a difference between Iniesta and Xavi; Xavi scores more goals, Iniesta passes better in my opinion. Meh.
