Top Gear returns on Sunday 27th June at 8pm

I'm really not liking the newer top gears. I much prefair the older ones where it was a serious car show the banter and humor seemed more natural and less scripted.

Now it just all scripted and its almsot as if clarkson and co are playing characters. They didnt even show the bently going around the track without making a joke.

The last couple of series I've tried to remain open-minded about TG having a more general entertainment slant and enjoyed a few of the bigger features but personally I'll just be reading the TG threads here on in and maybe catch it on iPlayer if something really, really good comes up.

I just thought that was dreadful, lacking, almost desperate. But I appreciate it is right up some peoples street and I won't be ****ing in every subsequent TG thread this series. Just disappointed, tis all.

I actually think that was - in that they found out the filming schedule and set it up to crash in the background of the interview without the local news team knowing :D

Seriously?

Awesome episode, and the page 3 girl (Peta Todd) and the gold medal woman (Amy Williams) were both nom nom nom :D

Just watched this in HD, damn near spat my coke out when the Jeremy drove the Robin into the maintenance floor in the garage :D

Top gear of old was very straight and was imho a proper car show. But that doesnt mean I hate top gear of today... NO sir! It has become an event for us lot here, my son and daughter raced their getting ready for school in the morning routine and were on the sofa with seconds to spare ready for the lastest episode lol.

The reliant section had us all in hysterics when clarkson started off around the corner and all you see and hear is a red mass sliding on the road lmao...

I only have one complaint and that was no mention of the silly advert doing the rounds recently... or was that scripted aswell and not random?

Ahh what an episode, loved it :)

Lol at all the people moaning about how crap it is...can bet they'll be back next week moaning again.

What dialect is that at the robin reliant meeting where they seem to condense sentences and remove the word "the".

I noticed this in the other Top Gear threads, there is always someone that doesn't understand the concept of this show. The fact is that, Top Gear isn't primarily a motoring show anymore and hasn't been for years ^_^

Amy Williams certainly made it an extremely good watch...

Shame they don't extend the season length, I'm sure they would get the viewers easily over 12 episodes or whatever they choose!

I just finished watching on iPlayer, I nearly woke my house up with the Robin Reliant section. When he rolled into a Robin Reliant enthusiasts meeting.. priceless.

I've never moaned about it before (although I have felt for some time it was just getting tired and unamusing), but as I was still looking forward to it a bit, what I watched tonight was pretty much the last straw. I'm won't be emailing the BBC and demanding it be removed from the airwaves, nor saying that my opinion is more valid in what Top Gear has become etc etc... it's massively popular worldwide for a reason and I hope old and new viewers continue to enjoy it. I just won't be bothering to watch it again and certainly won't be popping in to the weekly TG thread to have another go like some other people do.

Top Gear gets funnier (apparently) and more viewers every series, yet each year Broken Britain gets more broken and standards fall further. CAN YOU NOT SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING?!

I thought it was OK, funny in places but nothing really amazing. Loved the Bentley 'review', great bit of editing. Must admit that I did skip through a fair bit of it though.
