Top Gear returns on Sunday 27th June at 8pm

AmI the only freak that (as well as the pure entertainment of it) loves watchign the camera work and editing?

That bit last week with teh AMG in the rain and that last long shot was epic!

I love the camera work and editing too, it's especially stunning now it's in HD. That's one of the reasons I liked Hammond's Touareg section tonight, it looked beautiful in HD, there were some gorgeous shots, the slow-mo stuff was stunning. It was entertaining to boot.

Yes, the Senna film stole the show and was genuinely moving, but the episode as a whole was great. Loved Hammond's section, loved the Veyron part, and was moved by the brilliant Senna film. Only 'weak' part was the SIARPC but even that was more entertaining than usual with Tom's two-wheeled action

Another brilliant episode, loving this season so far. Even been enjoying the star in a car segemnt this season.

Only thing that bored me to tears was the caravanning challenge last week.

That was a really good episode.

Can't help but feel the Veyron is the very definition of dimishing returns... £600k and 200bhp more just for 15 more miles an hour or whatever, which you can only achieve at a handful of locations on the earth and which will cost stupid money in tires and fuel. Ridiculous.

one think i dont like about the post processing/effects., is the overuse of a ******* revcounter/speedo. I dont want to see the same 3 second clip 500 times in a review. Of a car going from 0 to 10million revs. Stop it.

It's not made for that reason. VW made it because they're once again telling the world that they have the faster production car on earth.

Even if only 1 person buys it and drives it 10 miles a year, it's still the fastest car on earth at present and nothing will ever change that.

Yeaa but isn't it really about how fast you get to 100 in it, that where the fun is, im willing to bet that if your seriously considering spending just over 1mil on one, your not gonna be that fussed about adding 600k just for kicks.

Cause they REALLY are not even going to worry about something like petrol and tires.

Senna was amazing but the greatest? Never experienced him driving live but he seemed like Schumacher, would take out his rival and always on the edge, was it because he died he became the greatest, like many people that die young in sport/entertainment. Fact is you can never pinpoint the greatest sports man due to the change of times/technology.

Episode was amazing and was 60 minns of entertainment

Worst episode of the series so far.
The VW bit was alright. I prefer to see about 'proper' cars instead of special rally ones. Still, I like the take they did with it and was quite exciting.
Star in a Reasonably Priced Car was awful. JC showing an avid interest in motorbikes isn't natural and just came across as bizarre and extremely false. Brown nosing, perhaps? Don't particularly like Tom Cruise or Cameron Diaz, so that doesn't help.
I enjoyed the Bugatti segment. Frankly astonished what you can do with technology and engineering nowadays. James May seemed awfully passionate about it too and genuinely excited.
The Senna bit was OK. I appreciate the awesomeness of his driving and is a loss to motorsport but I'm afraid it just didn't 'click' with me.

Great episode I normally skip the star parts but Tom and Cameron where great and the Senna bit was a great way to remember him.

Good ep, I must admit I've had more laughs the previous ep, but this was very interesting. Senna bits were great to see.

Anyone else notice cameron being a little bit stressed/uncomfortable ? Playing with her hair and biting her nails ( or keeping them in her mouth) or making general odd movements ?

Completely fell in love with the new Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, how shocking is the £20,000 price tage per set of tires though. 267.91 mph top end thats monstrous, I would need new underwear being a passenger.

Didn't like this ep too much, the first segment was fine as expected, fitting in a quick car review around something silly :)
But the porsche bit I've seen before, the buggati one was cool to see how they beat the record but could have been part of the news, I've seen it on top gear already, seeing it slightly faster isn't anything new.

I've started to dislike the star in a car part, it seems to be getting longer and longer if not taking a third of the entire show up, granted they had two big stars this episode but I have absolutely no interest in the "chatting" section of the show.

As for the senna bit, well made and good to see it.

It was a great episode. Brought back the best years of F1 when I used to watch it a lot. Still remember what a shock it was that weekend with Senna and Ratzenburger.

Excellent episode.
Never been a fan of Diaz or Cruise, but well done to them for getting first and second!
