A v10 at 8k rpm is doing the same number of piston cycles per second as a normal 4pot at 20k rpm.

Because it would need a rebuilt that costs a fortune very quickly, and require very expensive materials to do so. F1 engines that revved to that were designed to last about 250 miles...

Can someone answer me a question that might seem silly, but...

Why on top gear, and probably other car shows, do the brake lights flash even when still and/or seem to flicker? Even when not in a slow motion shot.

I think cars do it when you brake very hard as a warning to people behind too.

Refresh rate on the camera is slower than the LEDs or something like that...
